We had to let a $2100 retainer client go, within 15 days of starting during Diwali. 


I love my clients, and make sure to keep them at 100% comfort.
While delivering results and deliverables on time. 


The onboarding was extremely smooth, 
The real mess started within 3 days of starting. 


He was stealing my life, 
And was putting me in 3X stress. 


How? 



📌 1. He would text me anytime of the day. 
   6 Am, during the entire day, 10Pm, 1 Am. Literally anytime. 


📌 2. Voice notes, 5-10 mins each, at least 10 times a day. 


📌 3. Endless complaints, no appreciation.

📌 4. Was freaking about the algorithm 24X7.

📌 5. Didn’t care we were still trying to build the sync. 

📌 6. Warned me 5 times “I will have to think thing through.” Because We do not work on SUNSAYS.

This Diwali was a little extra special. 

A little extra calm. 


Ever since I was a kid, 
Diwali has been my favourite, 

The grandeur of the day 
The never ending food, 
The incredible Jaipur Lights, 
The gorgeous clothes, 
And the rituals, 

Everything just makes the festive feels. 


This Diwali, my heart was a little extra happy. 

My Mind was a little extra at ease. 

And My body enjoyed the vibes a little extra. 


I had set myself, and my team free. 

5 Days of 0 work, 
5 Days of 0 Stress, 
5 Days of Joy only. 


Here is a little glimpse of my Diwali. 

P.S. I know I am a little late to the party.

Last week I got a call every entrepreneur dreads. 

“Ayushi, we have to end our engagement.” 

Zack (pretend name) is a client for 9 months now. 

He is an executive coach from the UK. 
We at WildGo Media got his LinkedIn Sipercharged, and got him from 2,100 followers to 11,000 in 9 Months. 


Along with 

- 6 sales on his $19,000 offer. 
- 17 new sales on his $5,700 offer. 
- Strategied & launched a new product. 
- Helped him get into 5 podcasts. 
- Got him to tier connections in the UK. 
- 74 sales for the new product ($898 each) 


He has been a wonderful client. 
The kind you love to look forward to talking to. 
And the kind it is too fun to work with. 


So when his words hit “It's over” 
My heart sank. 


I Naturally asked “Can you tell me what the obstacle is?” 


He narrated “My mom is sick, I am panicking. She is moving in with me. I want to take care of her. But I only have enough time. And it is going to increase my expenses too. So I thought.” 


I asked if he was sure. 

And he said “Honestly, I do not wish to end it. But I am panicking so much.” 


I calmed him down and told him what I tell all my clients. 


“Zack, I am here to make your life easier, not difficult.”


I offered my solution. 

- We will cut down our time to just 3 hours each month. (45 mins a week) 
- Our Strategy to get attention would focus even more on product sales + Credibility. 
- The sales grew by 45% on his existing Offers. 
- 74 sales on a new passive product. ($66,452) 
- I will be here when you need someone to talk too. 


He instantly gasped and said he just needed someone to tell him that “It is going to be ok.” 

I did that. 

Guess he just needed a Friend to get him out of “Panic Mode.” 


P.S. - We are still working together.

In 2021, what I thought was My first big (huge) break turned out to be a scam.


It was the kindda break that I believed would put me on the map. 

Something people work for decades and still don’t get. 


As a creator and in a 1000% creative profession, 

Nothing was greater for me than to teach
And share my art with people 
And be really known for it. 


This deal looked exactly like that. 
I had gained 50,000 followers on LinkedIn 
And I was getting very popular at the time.


That is when, 


Someone approached me to work on a project with them, 

This person claimed to own one of the biggest media channels in education and entertainment, 

Like BuzzFeed or ScoopWhoop, running on the same stature. 

So naturally, I was over the clouds. 


But then things started to go wrong. 

Here is how. 

1. We discussed the project and I shared my price. They got it down to 50%

2. I worked on the project (before it being launched) for a straight month. 

3. Days in and days out, (without sleeping too many nights) 

4. I let go all of my clients because the project needed a lot of work and it felt so big. 

5. I listened to everything he said and let him become the boss of me. 


My biggest mistake that I still regret to date was, 

I never signed a contract before starting the work. 


I had taken a birthday trip for 3 days, 

Their urgency demanded me to work on the entire trip, even though I had mentioned I won’t be working on the dates. 

My friends hated it, I hated it, the birthday was ruined because I was too exhausted to celebrate. 


Cut to 40 days later of working on it, 

He said 

“We have changed our mind, it is not working for us, all the best.” 


And just like that, 

They took all the work I did, did not compensate for my time and effort, and never responded to any of my messages ever again. 


It broke my heart and confidence so bad that I spent next 15 days in bed. 



My advice to you? 

Be you are the service provider, or the client, 

Never start working without a contract. 
NEVER. 


I always thought I would look niave and stupid if I ever shared it, 
But this also gave me the biggest lesson of my professional life. 


What was your biggest career heartbreak?

80% of Founders over 40 think about creating content. 

But very few manage to do it. 

Why?

Because 1 in 5 Founders believes it’s “too much” for a 40 year old and above. 
They can’t manage to do it. 


➟ Too much to perform. 
➟ Too much to create. 
➟ Too much time to invest in. 
➟ Too much to social media. 


But here’s the truth:

 The more Founders who start Personal Branding after their 40s, the more successful they get at it.



🔁 Start at 40, 50, even 60.

🌱 You had experiences of mistakes, pivots, failures, and crises. 
💡You didn’t just survive - they bloomed from it. 


🔁 You fear the process of content creation. 

🌱The process is as simple as talking to a friend. Most of my 40+ years old clients worried about it, but we made things as smooth as butter for them. 


Studies show that older adults who start content creation at a ripe age have a more concrete and stable knowledge base and stories to share. 

This brings them even more 

➟ Loyal audience. 
➟ More prestige online
➟ Respect as a senior Founder

3700 new followers joined me in the last 1 month. 

Even though the reach has been terrible on LinkedIn. 


Here is what actually moved the needle. 

📌 → I didn’t stop writing. 

LinkedIn cut down everyone’s reach by 80%. But I still kept making content that educates and speaks to my audience. Rather than “going viral content”. 


📌 → Wrote 4 posts each day, Posted 1 

You don’t have to do it. But I write at least 4 posts each day. Edit and refine them. Cut down the length. Add more value. Post the 1 best piece. 


📌 → Talk in DMs and Comments. 

I get 100 comments + 10-15DMs each day. Even though I miss at times, I try my best to reply to each and every one. Builds relationships.


📌 → The uncomfortable, unorthodox statements win

Most of my posts that got attention were either loaded with information while being conveyed as a story. Or they were hard spoken truths. It triggers the Brian and emotions. 


📌 → Intra Connectivity 

Connectivity from one Post to another on your profile is a must. They should speak the same language while giving something new each day. 


I have 10 more such points, but I will save them for the next post. 


Writing precisely on Social Media is the right way to write.
