I think Huang is right.

People getting rich from AI won’t only those who be write code but also electricians and plumbers might be the winners of the AI boom.

Because AI doesn’t run on magic, it runs on power, cooling, fiber, and concrete.

→ Every GPU needs electricity.
→ Every server needs a place to live.
→ Every data center needs to be built from scratch.

Skilled trades are the backbone of it all.

And demand is exploding.

Nvidia alone is spending $100 billion to build infrastructure.
Multiply that across Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, and more.

By 2030, global spending on data centers will hit trillions.

Huang isn’t romanticizing the trades.
He’s being practical.

There’s a real labor gap.
Not enough skilled workers to keep up with the speed of AI expansion.

Trade schools aren’t a backup plan anymore.
They’re a direct path to high-demand, high-paying work.

This is where the real shortage is.
And where the money’s heading fast.

Sam Altman just dropped a historical flex that misses the actual crisis.

His argument: 
Farmers would laugh at office jobs, so why worry when AI makes our jobs "seem fake"? Future generations will invent new work, just like they always do.

Neat theory. Wrong timeline.

Yes, the Industrial Revolution created new jobs. But it also created decades of chaos...child labor, poverty wages, families decimated. 

The transition wasn't seamless or painless. It was brutal for the people living through it.

Altman's assuming we have time for that same messy evolution. We don't. 

Displacement happens faster now. A radiologist doesn't have 50 years to retrain as something new. They have months.

Here's what he got right: 
Humans are creative and will find new things to do.

Here's what he dodged: 
The people caught in the gap between "old work" and "future work" don't have a safety net. They have bills.

It's easy to philosophize about inevitable progress when you're not the one losing your paycheck. 

The real question isn't whether AI will displace jobs, it will. It's whether we build systems to protect people during the transition, not after.

Altman can be right about the long-term and still be wrong about what matters right now.

Meta just kicked ChatGPT off WhatsApp.

Starting January 15, 2026, it’s gone.

Over 50 million people were using ChatGPT through WhatsApp.

And now it's completely Banned.

Why?

Meta says general-purpose bots like ChatGPT and Perplexity are too heavy on their servers.

So they rewrote the rules.

Their new API policy bans any external AI chatbot.

Only Meta AI will be allowed to stay.

That’s not just policy.

That’s control.

Big Tech isn’t just building the AI future.

They’re drawing lines in it.

→ You can build the best product.
→ You can get millions of users.
→ But if you build it on someone else’s land, they can flip the switch overnight.

What’s happening with Meta and OpenAI isn’t a one-off.

AI is now fighting AI to save us from a deepfake crisis.

Elon Musk just announced that xAI's Grok will be able to detect deepfake videos and trace their origins across the web.

And honestly I'd love to see this kind of development.

Grok will be able to scan videos for hidden AI signatures.... subtle compression patterns and generation artifacts we can’t see. 

Then it'll search the internet to verify authenticity and track down the original source.

This came after Matt Walsh raised concerns about how many hyper-realistic AI-generated videos are flooding the internet right now.

The irony? We now need AI to fight AI.

But if generative tech keeps advancing, detection must evolve even faster.
It’s an arms race and the winner decides who controls truth online.
