The #1 Reason to your job search is stalled is simple...

1️⃣ Too MANY applicants

Most jobs that are listed on LinkedIn are promoted which means, they are shown over and over to the same people. This means a few things:

→ The same job posting is being shown to the same few thousand people over a week or more

→ Most Software Engineers assume Linkedin is the first job board to look for jobs so they send their application there - creating backlogs in applications, with numbers going into the thousands. 

→ The job postings get so many applicants, they stop looking at applicants after one or two days. 

📮 Where to apply instead:

→ My favorite job board is Remote Rocketship. 
They source jobs directly from the company website, no promotions, straight jobs from companies hiring today. They are 100% my go-to and all my clients use them to land #interviews.

→ Y Combinator and Wellfound are excellent places to source for startups and growing companies. Get connected with the companies hiring, find out who is behind the role, reach out and network. These job board have a lot higher response rate than other places.

That's right! Your LinkedIn homepage feed that is showing #jobs is the best place to find the most relevant and recent jobs posted, by real people, who you can #network with right away.
