My wealth of experience is something others are keen to dip into of late which is good.
Being able to speak my mind is another plus point but still wish a few filters would kick in at the last minute.

Bit over the top maybe but have to say I love my bus pass if if timetables seem a work of short fiction.
Bus W⚓️'s are everywhere and a good tribe of useful people.
Never thought I'd say that.

Use it most days and have met some fantastic characters on buses who all seem to speak so loud they don't need a mobile phone to tell family they are on the bus.

Great lunch and chat as always.
Didn't cover the old days of the FSB curry club but will put that right next time.

Only took 4 hours to get home...felt like it.

Cracking week.

Business wise nothing special.
People wise, the best.

London mooch and exhibition on Monday at Corinthia Hotel London.
Pictures of the famous by Lorenzo Agius to link with BAFTA week.
Fantastic pictures and afternoon tea in £75per person.

Unexpected plus catching up with someone I hugely respect on Wednesday.

Friday lunch and natter with a very good friend.

Conversations with Jason Arbiter on Wednesday about life, Art and stuff.

Had A3, A4 posters and cards printed, that's 20 of each, of Rainy Day Women.
This was for free from an amazing printer who I won't name.
He just believes in me.
That on it's own made the week special.

Coffee with a local contact who talked me out of buying a second hand digital SLR and reminded me that it may be affordable but it will costly in terms of spontaneity.
Mobiles are probably best for now.

High hopes that March could well mean the ditching of my rain coat.
I can just remember what the sun looks and feels like.

People, places, things.
In that order.

There comes a point when all the good will in the world isn’t enough.

You take time to help, you go out of your way.

You add extra help and bits and bobs into the mix and are happy doing it.

They switch supplier and then you are disappeared, forgotten, like you never existed.

When the penny drops that you were the best solution all along and they come calling you’re expected to drop everything and hug for England.

I’m no snow flake wet wipe, tough as old nails but my sense of fair play does get jangled by this.

Had to decline the hugathon and park them under experience.

It’s tough out there and if who pays you decide to go somewhere else then of course it’s OK.

What would be nice is an explanation and the common courtesy of being told.


I wish them well.

How many coffee meetings do you get asked to?

In the past I'd refuse these as they were normally KPI's, Knowledge Plundering Invites.

Have noticed in the last six months that things have changed.

Firstly, the personal touch is alive well and booming.

Being with and in front of people is for me the best marketing option.
Postal campaigns have accelerated the number of quality coffees I get.

Secondly, there's too much advice out there.

Expertise is cheaper than ever and the tsunami of average consultancy and rehashed advice is alarming.
The removal of some Top Voice badges has stopped this.

Thirdly, and most importantly, there is an appetite to meet face to face and people seem willing to pay for it.

I charge £100 for a coffee because it's advice and checking best fit.
If we progress that fee is taken off the first invoice.
This stops the tyre kickers and the KPI's and saves me time and frustration.

Off to London this morning for a meeting and a mooch and hopefully a piece of work in the bag.

💡 Having just been hired to work with a company to use direct mail I thought it would be a good idea to follow my own advice.

Low cost as made the bookmarks myself.
Previous invoice gave me the client details.
LinkedIn confirmed address and that they hadn't moved and gave me the content gof the accompanying hand written letter.
This had a QR code which was a voice note from me.

🔥🔥 6 bookmarks went out and so far 4 bits of business gave been reignited 
An easy, frictionless yes delivered differently and un a personal way

Sometimes the unexpected happens.

Was tempted to quote the poem from Sheenagh Pugh, Sometimes, but that would be too corny.

The good thing is that the poems sentiment rings true.

I am sure that this clip will be used over and over for various  motivational posts, talks, sorry, keynotes and in presentations.

This Six Nations has been one of the best with underdogs having the victories and upsetting the apple cart.

Wales nearly got the better of Scotland and Ireland.
The dark patch may be over for the Dragons.
Scotland have been consistent and amazing and England, well, pretty off the pace.
Ireland who were one of the favourites have wobbled more than they should have.
Italy, say no more, brilliant with a victory over England and massively well deserved.

Will enjoy watching this clip for a very long time.

Simple searches get the better results.

Think Pareto principles and think astronomy.

Universe ➡️ galaxy ➡️ solar system ➡️ planet

These searches get universe results but then use the filters to pick galaxies, industry etc.
Further refine by solar system, Service Categories, location.
Planet could be a company.

Macro to micro and save the URL of each search for future reference, great if you have a free account.

Select people then begin to filter more.

💡These can be a bit hit and miss but headline normally gets some good results.
