"Architecture> Energy" is a University of Ferrara Research Centre for research, design consulting, training and services for public administrations, businesses and individuals on energy efficiency and environmental quality of buildings and renewable energy production systems promotion and integration. The Centre works on both new construction and existing buildings refurbishment, even in cases of high historical values. The Centre design gudelines from housing to the urban scale, promote scientific training activities (masters, workshops, conferences) in strategic sectors for contemporary society.  Since 2010, the Architecture Center> Energy is an ordinary member of the GBC Italy (www.gbcitalia.org).

The University of Ferrara's Research Department Centre for the Development of Integrated Automatic Procedures for the Restoration of Monuments (D.I.A.P.Re.M.) develops operative procedures for architectural, civil and natural complexes 3D geometric modelling and virtual representation as an analytic tool for their interdisciplinary study. Some of the main research fields are preservation and restoration of archaelogical sites and architectural works; 3D surveys; solid prototyping of architectural features and antiquites; multi-spectral analysis; studies on historical materials; researches on technical and structural problems of historical buildings; analyses for architectural and archaelogical heritage site restoration and preservation projects in relation to the environment and the territory. The research in which DIAPReM has been involvede in Italy and abroad have helped in developing preventive preservation strategies employing innovative methods and technologies for heritage site monitoring and control for urban and environmental upgrading.
D.I.A.P.Re.M. is part of the team " Architecture>Energy", Department of Architecture of University of Ferrara, is member of Focus Area Cultural Heritage, Horizontal Issue "Archaeology", European Construction Technology Platform, and is part of TekneHub, laboratory of Technopole of Ferrara, Constructions thematic platform of the Emilia-Romagna high technology network.

Residential and commercial architecture projects (Rainbow hub in Llanelli, Prague6 in Prague, Elpro office building in Berlin, Rocca Sinibalda castle restoration in Rome, Lux11 hotel in Berlin).

Junior architect

Registered Architect (IT), Ph.D. in "Energy systems optimisation", NZGBC GSAP, TT L2 ISO9712:2012.

In 2008, he graduated cum laude in Architecture from the University of Ferrara (Italy).

From 2008 to 2015, he was member of the Architecure>Energy Research Centre of the University of Ferrara, contributing to research, offering professional training activities, publishing research outputs and speaking at conferences on the topics of building energy efficiency assessment, laser scanning, 3D survey, IR thermography and thermal flux analysis.
At the same time, he was Project Manager and Technical Development Manager at Becquerel Electric, working on the development, design and permitting of 28 renewable power plants, rating over 80 MW total peak power and over €190M total cost. 

In 2011, he completed the Sole24Ore Master in "Renewable Energy: permitting, contracts and project financing".

In 2015, he received a Ph.D. in "Chemical and Energy Technology" from the University of Udine (Italy) with a research on the development of a technical, economical and financial model programmed in Python for the design optimization of run-of-river small hydropower plants.

From 2016 to August 2018, he was Registered Architect (Italy) at Woodhams Meikle Zhan Architects in Auckland (New Zealand), working on commercial and industrial projects. 

From September 2018 to October 2019, he is BIM Development Manager and IT Manager at Woodhams Meikle Zhan Architects. He co-founded the Dynamo User Group New Zealand (DUG-NZ) (current).

From October 2019 to October 2021, he is National BIM Lead at GHDWoodhead creativespaces and Committee Member of BIMinNZ Auckland (current).

From October 2021, he is National BIM and Digital Solutions Lead - Property and Buildings at GHD/GHD Design. He is a Certified Information Management Professional (BIM according to ISO19650).

Specialisations: BIM (Revit, Civil3D, Navisworks, BIM 360, Revizto, BIM Track), CAD (AutoCAD, MicroStation), Programming (Dynamo, Python, C#, C++), GIS (Map3D, QGIS), sustainability, building energy efficiency and diagnosis (IR thermography TT 2nd level RINA ISO 9712, thermal flux analysis), project management, laser scanning, renewable energy power plants (small hydropower, wind farm, photovoltaic).
