I show companies how to drive people performance and business results while helping individuals build the skills they need to stay relevant and grow in their careers.

I also work with edtech and HR tech companies on a long list of things, from go-to-market and brand awareness to product roadmap, as an advisor or board member. With a robust network and my entrepreneurial and commercial background, I help them build their brand and accelerate revenue.

Third, I work with private equity and VC funds to source dealflow, make better investment decisions and support commercial due diligence. 

Most people would describe me as a super connector.

I also speak about the future of learning, work and technology at conferences like Websummit, Mobile World Congress, Learning Technologies and ASU-GSV.

Born in the US but based in Europe for two decades, I love building bridges between cultures and markets, and am 100% fluent in Spanish (including tapas and wine!).

Amazon has announced plans to cut 15% of its Human Resources staff, with additional layoffs possible. Their People and Experience Technology division has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and includes a large recruiting team, plus tech staff and other traditional HR roles.

According to CEO Andy Jassey, "Those who embrace this change, become conversant in AI, help us build and improve our AI capabilities internally and deliver for customers will be well-positioned to have high impact and help us reinvent the company."

Meanwhile, the CAPEX for the United States economy has gone up 14.8% in the first half of 2025 year on year, largely due to expenditure on AI infrastructure. But what CAPEX could be more important than on people?

I find myself wondering: What about investment in the skilling, organizational design and change management needed to ensure AI adoption? Most organizations I talk to are struggling with this, and the reason seems clear: they are over-indexing on infrastructure while largely ignoring the people strategy required to recover it. Many times because the CAIO leading this work is an engineer, not a human capital expert.
 
On the balance sheet, people are still treated as a cost rather than an asset. As AI automation and layoffs continue - and this is inevitable - I predict that ultimately, people will be the key differentiator. The companies and boards that understand this and invest in their people will win the race. Meanwhile, HR leaders would be wise to get serious about AI adoption... and it's gonna take a whole lot more than a few courses that are outdated by the time they are released. This is digital transformation on steroids...!

When I was a girl I was obsessed with Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego -  not because I wanted to be a spy, but because I loved computers and the travel seemed so glamorous (that red outfit was to die for too!)

Now I feel like I am living in the video game sometimes... except the long flights, jet lag and conference rooms do not feel so glamorous
