How to Mail a Resume

I built a system that finds remote jobs while I sleep.
The hard part is the daily scrolling, so I made jobs come to me.

It's a small system.
It brings new remote jobs to you.
AI sorts them.
You apply to the best ones.

What you build:
One Google Sheet that fills itself every day.

1. Pick one target
One role.
One level.
One time zone.
Example: Junior Support, APAC overlap.

2. Set a strict LinkedIn Job Alert
Search your role.
Turn Remote on.
Add filters (level, job type, past 24 hours).
Set alert to daily.
LinkedIn allows up to 20 alerts, so keep them focused.

3. Add RSS (this makes it faster)
RSS is a “new posts” link.
When a job board posts a new job, the RSS updates.
Copy the RSS link from We Work Remotely or Remotive.

Then do ONE of these:
• Paste it into Feedly to read jobs like an inbox
• Or use it in Zapier as the trigger

4. Auto-save jobs into Google Sheets
In Gmail, make a label: JOBS.
Filter LinkedIn alert emails into that label.
Zapier setup:
Trigger: New RSS item OR new labeled email
Action: Create spreadsheet row in Google Sheets

Sheet columns:
Role, Company, Link, Must-have, Deal breakers, Score, Status, Follow-up date
Score = how well the job fits you.

Deal breakers examples:
Not truly remote. On-site days. Wrong time zone. Visa only.

5. Let ChatGPT pick your top 5
Paste today’s rows and ask:

"Remove deal breakers.
Score 1 to 10.
Pick top 5 with 1 clear reason.
Rewrite 3 resume bullets using job keywords only."

Rule: Never add skills you can’t explain.

Build Branded Slides From a Single Prompt

Your CV is not the reason you lose remote jobs, your proof is.

You are telling companies what you did.
But you are not showing what you can do.

For remote work, a company wants to know:

• Can you understand tasks on your own?
• Can you use tools fast?
• Can you solve problems without waiting for help?

This is where AI helps.
Not to send 100 lazy applications.
But to build one strong application.

Here is the system I would use:

Step 1

Copy the job post into ChatGPT.
Ask:
“What are the top skills in this job post?”
“What tasks will this person do every week?”
“What proof would make this person easy to trust?”

Step 2

Take the answer and build a small proof pack.
That includes:
• A CV made for that exact role
• 3 job bullets rewritten to match the role
• 1 short example from past
• 1 small sample task
• 1 short message to send with application

Step 3

Turn weak lines into real proof.
Weak line:
“Managed social media.”

Better line:
“Planned weekly posts, wrote captions, checked which posts got more clicks, and used AI to speed up research and first drafts.”

Now it sounds clear.
Now it sounds useful.
Now it sounds real.

No work experience yet?

Use AI to turn these into proof:
• School projects
• Volunteer work
• Personal projects
• Freelance tasks
• Work you did for friends or family

Example:
Do not say:
“I made a website for practice.”

Say:
“Built a simple website for a local shop, wrote the page text, fixed the layout, and used AI to speed up first drafts and ideas.”

Do not just send a CV.

Here’s the simple split:

• Do many steps across your apps

Claude Code = a coding teammate in your terminal (and IDE).

It works inside your code project.

• Edit files across the project
• Run commands, tests, and code checks

Quick chooser:

Here’s my 5 minute workflow.

1. Train Pinterest
Search a visual keyword like "t-shirts with text".
Open 15 to 20 images you like.
Stay 3 to 5 seconds on each.
Pinterest learns what "scrappy" means to you.

2. Download one reference
Pick a messy, real looking photo with empty space for text.
Tap the 3 dots.
Download.

3. Rebuild it in Google Gemini
Upload the image.
Tools > Create images.
Turn on Thinking.
Generate 3 options.

4. Prompt to paste
"Match the lighting, texture, and camera angle. Create a brand new realistic image with the same scrappy vibe. Keep the imperfections. Replace the text with: [YOUR HOOK]. Keep everything else similar."

5. Post on LinkedIn
Upload.
Crop to 4:5.
Tiny zoom (1.05 to 1.1) for cleaner framing.

Text rules for the image
Your goal is to make people pause.

So the text must be easy to read in 1 second.

• 6 to 10 words max
• Big text (phone friendly)
• One idea only

Your CV is getting rejected by a robot. Fix it fast.

Most companies use ATS software.
It scans your CV before a person does.
If your CV is not ATS friendly, you get skipped.

Here is my 10 minute AI method.

Copy the job post.
Build a clean CV for it.

Step 1 Choose ONE job
On LinkedIn, use AI job search.
Type what you want in simple words.
Example: “Customer support, remote, fewer meetings, Zendesk”
Pick one job post to match.

Step 2 Get important words
Paste the job post into ChatGPT or Gemini.
Ask for:
• Top 8 skills they want
• Top 5 things you will do every day
• Tools they mention
• Words they repeat a lot

Step 3 Use past work
Think of 3 things you did before that relate to this job.
Write them down in one line each.

Add numbers if you can.
Hours saved, sales, users, tickets, revenue.
No proof = no bullet.

Step 4 Make it easy for robot to read
Keep it simple:
• One column
• No tables, icons, or text boxes
• Short bullet points
• Use the same words from the job post

Quick example
Bad: "Helped with reports"
Good: "Made a weekly KPI report in Sheets, saved 2 hours each week"

Finally Copy paste prompt:

"Job post [paste]
My master CV [paste]
My proof notes [paste]

Make a 1 page CV for this job.
Use only my proof notes.
Write 10 bullets max.
Keep it ATS friendly.
