We built many projects in RubyOnRails. Often the 1st version of bootstrapped startups. A small team of 3-5 people with project management in Redmine - agile, visible, interactive manner.
* Producing a Waste Logistics and Scheduling software as a service as our own product.
* Producing a business listings plus site, that anyone will be able to add a business into and rate on various statistics.
* Produced an extranet, with a permission based document storage, and external customer management. S3 for documents. Solr for search.
* Produced an auction site for a designer & end-of-line clothes wholesaler. Went live in under 4 months. Fun & interactive front-end elements using protototype.js 
* Co-developed a Newsletter Content Management System for a marketing agency that required remote login access and customisation of a template by over 60 sites.
 
* Developed ecommerce web stores for a variety of businesses from Pet Stores, Shoe Shops and even Baby Showers. Produce and support a medium sized Education Conference companies bespoke intranet system.
* Involved in various aspects of launching several new products aimed at B2B sectors including Logistics, Reycling, Insurance, Surveying, Fleet Management.

From startups needing someone to integrate with a mobile payment provider in ruby,to an agency requiring some dynamic Javascript elements adding to their website & an update to a national transport website utilising a SOAP web service built using ruby & sinatra.

My permanent roles included RoR developer at On The Beach, and Groovy developer for CTI Digital, which involved bespoke development of a reporting suite for a rapidly growing insurance company using Grails, with Geb & Spock from integration testing.

Previously I have been key in developing Liquid Bronze's solution for: a Workflow and Document Management system called Work Hub and a Scheduling & Rostering System called Malinko. These were developed in Ruby On Rails in an agile manner with TDD. 

Additionally, a Consultant for Teleca, working across many large corporations in South East UK producing bespoke solutions and lead small teams.

I currently interested in exploring how agile techniques can be used in practice & when to be pragmatic. 

It's important that there is a Product Management process that validates features according to customer demand & need.

Customer centred, product orientated, very experience software consultant and engineer. Fractional work considered. 

Roles are condensing. Every company is changing who they have internally, and who they are recruiting.

Role names are changing. 

So, as you can you see from my headline I have had a go at seeing what people are searching for. 

And added more based on recruiter feedback. But it did not work. 

TBH, it is very hard to match demand, with my experience right now. I know I add value. I have broad knowledge, I am a T shaped generalist, as my knowledge goes deep in certain areas. 

Typically I find you go into a company, and the role has been recruited for so long the specifics have changed. So I have adapted to this on many occasions. 

I love commercially respectful  conversations with people internally, as it saves a lot of time. Hiring Managers, and people on teams that are recruiting are the best. 

Lets see how it goes today at Málaga's feria de emploi. I would love to work alongside people here a few days a week in a productive, collaborative team, making products people want, with our tech skills, and utilising AI as an additional skill.

Until the president is disposed, it feels wise to avoid US infrastructure doesnt it. However, can we replace Google Calender? 

Or, how can we replace gcal invites, and event information. Does it have to be at the DNS level?

Seems there is 2 EU solutions that have 120 million people using them. Which is surprising, because I heard of neither until this morning. 

What do you think is stopping further adoption. Could that grow to 200 million people in 2026? It feels so. What does the infra look like for an additional 80 million people across the EU? 

Are there startup founders in the network, already working on this?

Bird song should not be a luxury. Málaga city council seems to think otherwise. 

Many people live with extreme levels of noise pollution in Málaga. Busy roads with cars and motos everywhere. 

Everyone deserves half an hour of tranquility in their day. Could be birdsong, could be the sound of the waves. 

Building more is not the answer. Reducing the volume of traffic in the city, and more green spaces like Bosque Urbano is. 

Business Value? Well, selling more electric cars, scooters and motos is one. However, with less stressed employees there is a productivity win. The value of humans is increased. They are more creative. They finish more things, easier, and more rapidly. 

Màlaga is so much more than tourismn. Humans here deserve better.
