Hej! I’m Ali a former Senior Technical Producer now working in VC focused on the video games industry.

I help identify, evaluate, and support high potential game studios by combining hands on technical, production experience with an investor mindset. My background in engineering, production, and team performance lets me assess studios not just by their pitch, but by their tech, pipelines, scalability, and long term execution.

Before VC, I led engine development, tools optimization, server infrastructure, and multi platform releases including porting a 14+ year old game and its entire tech stack to Metal, iOS, and Android.

I am a Senior Game Producer at Star Stable Entertainment AB, a leading developer of immersive online games for girls. 

- I own the delivery of valuable outcomes for the products, focusing on the user and ensuring issues affecting them are followed up and resolved. 
- I also represent the technical planning within the game management for the Engine, Tools, and Server teams, and ensure their well-functioning and health.

With a strong background in software testing, 
- I apply my skills in Construct, Jira, and ISTQB certification to ensure the quality and performance of the games. 
- I have worked as a Test Automation Engineer and a Test Leader at Star Stable and Scania Group, respectively, where I increased the test coverage, automated the test cases, and reduced the defect leakage. 

I am passionate about tech, video games development, and people, and 
- I leverage my strong leadership abilities to build high-performing teams and inspire them to think outside the box and deliver results that surpass expectations. 
- I also share my knowledge and experience as a board member, industry representative at Futuregames, and a teacher and mentor at The Game Assembly. 

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, and 
- I have completed courses in Project Management, Game Design, and Product Management. 
- I strive to remain current with industry trends and best practices while nurturing a passion for video game design and cat memes.

From a classroom idea to 400+ industry event 

Future Game Awards reached a new high

Three years ago, a group of students approached me with a simple idea: organizing an awards event for Futuregames. We had a tiny budget and no idea what the future held, but we pulled off a "cozy" first ceremony.

Fast forward to today, and the Future Game Awards have hit a new all time high.
Our biggest event yet featured:
• 400+ Guests
• 60+ Innovative games
• 40+ Expert jurors from the world’s leading studios

What a magical 3 days at the Umeå Game Conference!

It’s incredible to watch this city in northern Sweden transform into an international hub, attracting publishers and investors to meet the massive talent coming out of the Nordics.

A huge highlight was catching up with our portfolio companies. Seeing them take home awards makes us so proud to be a small part of their journey. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

I met so many amazing people, but I decided to leave you with the pure beauty of the North. ❄️✨

2 blockbusters, 2 completely different realities
 
Battlefield 6 and Honor of Kings.
 
Both are massive hits.
 
But they live in completely different worlds.
 
Here's what the numbers show:
 
Battlefield 6 (PC & Console) 
→ 26.2M units sold 
→ $486M revenue on Steam 
→ 4.4M monthly players
 
Honor of Kings (Mobile) 
→ 45M downloads 
→ $1.43B revenue 
→ 69.8M monthly players
 
The gap is wild.
 
Honor of Kings had 1.7x more downloads but made 3x the revenue.
 
This is the platform divide:
 
PC/Console = High price per player, big launch moment, premium model
 
Mobile = Massive reach, recurring spending, long term engagement
 
Both strategies work.
 
But they require totally different thinking.
 
If you're building a game, you need to pick your curve early.
 
Because chasing both usually means winning at neither.

The hate for Highguard isn't about Highguard
 
We’ve officially entered the "zero trust era"
 
I watched Highguard get destroyed online.
 
Was the game perfect? No.
 
Did it deserve a hostile reaction? Never.
 
But this isn't about one game.
 
It's about years of:
 
→ Broken promises 
→ Rushed releases  
→ Ignored feedback 
→ Empty apologies
 
Players used to give trust freely.
 
Now? You earn it.
 
One mistake and you're done.
 
Studios burned the bridge.
 
Developers paid the price.
 
The hate isn't fair.
 
But the anger? That's real.
 
How do we fix this?
 
1. Listen more. 
2. Promise less. 
3. Deliver always.
 
Both sides need to heal.

Is the creative industry falling out of love with remote work? 💔

We’re seeing a massive wave of big studios calling teams back to the office. 

Whether it's 3 days a week or a full return, the landscape is changing.

I am personally aware that at least 4 big gaming studios are doing this in Stockholm alone.

I’ve always been a hybrid advocate. I love the "in person" spark for creative sessions, but I value the autonomy of home. 

Interestingly, some studios are now using "Permanent Remote" as their secret weapon for hiring the best talent globally.

If you had to choose today: 100% Remote, 100% Office, or Hybrid? Which one would you choose?
