From summer 2024, I shifted the focus of Truggl into building video funnels instead of making one-off videos for tech companies.

Why?

On the client side, I’m going to be honest: 1 video will pay for itself in a few months or weeks depending on your traffic.

But that’s not what clients were looking for. After the thousands of meetings I’ve had over the last 4 years, all of them wanted:

* Exposure: They want their product to be seen more and noticed more online.
* Conversion: They want everyone who knows about their product to see it as a no-brainer to purchase.
* Retention: They want their LTV to spike, making people actually use the product.

They didn’t want videos to just pay for themselves they wanted to make an engine that actually pushes the brand ahead.

After studying Figma, Lovable (7 to 100 million ARR with videos), Notion, Google, Webflow, OpenAI, and 50+ other companies with 50 million to 950 million ARR, we found the same exact video strategy used the same exact funnel to serve the 3 goals I mentioned.

Since the beginning of 2025, we have applied it to 10s of companies, either on monthly subscriptions or one-time bulk projects of with 100s of seconds of videos.

After almost a year of applying this, my right-hand copywriter/researcher Montaha Ben Thabet and my production lead @Ujwal (no LinkedIn my guy hates corporate BS haha) and we came up with the funnel.

It’s based on:

* Research
* Trial and error
* Client feedback from top brand and marketing directors in companies with 1 million up to 100 million ARR

(and yes, it’s the one you see on my top screen)

Our approach:

Markaaz needed a strong visual hook to capture attention from people passing by. With a 2-meter background screen, we decided together to lead with animation, making it easier to stop traffic and help their sales team spark conversations. This time, we prioritized visual satisfaction over readability or direct selling, focusing purely on grabbing attention.

i am sure everyone’s familiar with this video the announcement of Atlas, the new ChatGPT browser.

i don’t really care about the browser itself (ain’t tryna get my data stolen), but let’s talk about the video.

storytelling blocking:

+ imagine chatgpt integrated into your browser

i’m a huge fan of the approach ChatGPT took in this launch a single video that managed to break down every key USP (feature) better than any landing page full of text could ever do.

and that’s the genius part: one short, hype-driven, visually clear video got millions of views across Instagram and YouTube.
imagine if those millions were sent to a static landing page instead half would’ve bounced before reading two lines.

the lesson?
👉 attention is won visually.
👉 understanding is earned emotionally.

this is how product storytelling should be done.
