The Healthtech Marketing Network is the place for senior healthtech marketing professionals to connect with peers, learn from each other and grow their careers.

Currently this is a group of more than 220+ healthtech CMOs and VPs of marketing. Members include senior executives from organizations like Premier Inc, InterSystems, Get Well, CTG, Caregiliy, and many venture-backed firms.

Uniphy Health, A Harris Healthcare Company

The highs were highest and the lows were the lowest. The most exciting, terrifying, fun, and miserable time in my professional career. 

I was a total healthcare and startup rookie. I learned the hard way what it takes to sell in healthcare, raise money and run a software company. We absorbed another company, restructured, kept growing and eventually sold the company.

I founded Uniphy's predecessor company, Practice Unite in 2013. We grew the business from an idea on a scrap of paper into a profitable, multi-million SaaS firm with applications used by 80,000+ clinicians across hundreds of healthcare facilities. In April, 2019, we sold Uniphy to Constellation Software's Harris Healthcare division. 

Uniphy Health had a simple mission: To help healthcare professionals collaborate more effectively. Healthcare professionals are empowered to deliver better care, as we make it easier for them to do the invaluable work they do – whether in acute care or ambulatory settings. We do this through our proprietary, secure, mobile communications platform designed specifically for healthcare.

Under, my watch, Uniphy Health grew from an idea on the back of napkin to a recognized leader in the healthcare communications market.

> Solutions are used by 85,000+ clinicians with usage growing 300% annually.

Organic

A wild 7 years. The first two years were spent struggling and failing to turn the business around. Then in year 3 and a nanosecond away from getting fired, we won a single piece of business that helped us 10X the business.

In my initial tenure at Organic, I was General Manager of the NY office and member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to CEO of this successful digital marketing agency. Over 3 years, I doubled the local office business revenue. As GM, I managed all client and new business development, people management and operations. Clients included American Express, US Airways, Sirius XM, Coach and Tommy Hilfiger.

Beginning in 2005, I transitioned to lead the Bank of America’s account, evolving it from a basic production capability to becoming BofA's strategic digital marketing partner, delivering award-winning creative. During this time, I managed a team of over 200 account and project managers, strategists, creatives and engineers, while delivering more than 400 brand building and customer acquisition programs. Under my leadership, the BofA account, became Organic's largest and most profitable account.

From 1999 to 2001 I was a member of the executive team that launched and grew Viant's UK business. I oversaw business development and networking in UK market. Clients included Diageo, Universal Music and Liberty's of London.

From 1997 to 1999, I helped build Viant's interactive marketing and branding practice. As a client partner, I developed marketing strategy for multiple internet businesses including acting as virtual CMO for internet start-ups. Clients included American Express, Radio Shack and Sputnik7 (Music start-up).

We didn't hire them; we built them.

I know this sounds a little Frankensteinish, but hear me out.

Over the last six months, we have been building a bunch of GPTs and a few agents that are making a meaningful contribution to how we do our work.

They are clustered into six areas:

This was in a post from Drew Neisser, and it got my brain whirring. A CEO of a $250 million firm said this to Drew a few weeks back, and Drew had the same reaction I did.

And a few weeks back at MAICON, an SEO professional said something somewhat similar.
