According to a study by LinkedIn & MIT Sloan, professionals with higher online visibility earn 15–25% more than peers with equal or greater skill levels.
Why? 
Because visibility builds trust before a resume ever lands on the table.

In simple terms, the world rewards what it can see.

You could be brilliant, but if no one knows about it, you’re invisible.
And invisible people don’t get opportunities.
So start building your personal brand because it's not just for online service providers - it's literally from anybody who wants to earn money.

-> Post about what you’re learning, not just what you’ve mastered.
-> Break down one insight from your daily work every week.
-> Comment thoughtfully on leaders in your industry, get seen where decisions are made.

2️⃣ Network like your salary depends on it. Because it does.
Your next job, client, or opportunity will probably come through a conversation, not a job portal.

How to start (without sounding desperate):
- Make a list of 10 people you admire in your field.
- Send a short message: 
“Hey [name], been following your work on X. Would love to learn from your journey, open to a quick chat this week?”
- Join niche WhatsApp or Slack groups where your peers hang out. Share value there.

Do that consistently for 90 days and your visibility and network will open doors your resume never could.

Moral:
The person who is seen gets paid more than the person who is smart but silent.
You don’t need to be the loudest.
You just need to be visible to the right people.

so raw I instantly relate to them.


Like, how do they even remember their feelings?
How do they turn emotions into such powerful stories?
Because when I sit to script… I just go blank.
I know I felt something, but I can’t seem to go deep enough.”

Let’s unpack it:
1: “But I remember the big stuff!”
Sure. But do you remember the texture of it?
Like, how your chest tightened before sending that first DM?
Or the exact thought in your head when your reel flopped after 3 hours of editing?
Most creators skip the microscope moments but that’s where the magic lives.
It’s not about grand emotions.
 It’s about ordinary details people recognize as their own.

2: “I can’t access my feelings when I sit to script.”
Of course not, scripting isn’t therapy.
You won’t magically recall what scared you last Thursday.
That’s why memory capture is your best friend.

When something hits you: frustration, fear, tiny win, jot it instantly.
 A sticky note. A phone note. A voice memo that says:
➡️ “I almost cried when Zoom crashed mid-pitch.”
➡️ “Felt proud when a stranger DMed me ‘your post saved my day.’”

Stack enough of these, and scripting stops being blank-page panic.
It becomes weaving what you already caught into storylines.

3: “But my stories don’t sound as good as theirs.”
That’s because you’re polishing too early.
Raw stories aren’t written polished.
They’re written messy first, shaped later.
The creators you admire aren’t “better feelers.”
They’re better record-keepers.

They hoard tiny truths until they have gold to refine.
Your job isn’t to out-feel them.
It’s to out-capture them.

Content doesn’t connect because it’s perfect.
It connects because it’s precise.
Not “I was nervous.”
But “I stared at the blinking cursor and wondered if anyone even cared.”
That’s the line that makes someone whisper, “This is so me.”

That’s how your stories stop sounding like “content” and start sounding like confessions.

Let’s make sure you’re selling chicken to people who like it.

I have a shitty social life.


There, I said it.
My business makes up about 95% of my actual life.

The rest is me sleeping or watching TV with my husband.
I don’t call my friends.
I ignore their calls 70% of the time.
And when I visit home once a month… I carry my laptop.

I keep telling myself I’ll change it,
but honestly, I don’t want to.

Because I like how this life feels.
Yet deep down, I also know… it’s not healthy.

It’s weird, right?
To love your work this much and still know it’s kind of consuming you.
I’ve stopped forcing the idea of work-life balance.

Maybe some of us are just built differently,
the ones whose version of “balance” is going all-in on what we love,
and recharging quietly, not socially.

I walked into a meeting room


The lawyer looked up and said,
“Oh thank goodness. Mine’s white with sugar please”

I thought, “okay, this is a moment” I walked around, made him his coffee, 
put it in front of him. I sat back down opposite him.

I watched the color drain from his face as he realised the enormous assumption he’d made.

That moment everyone calls imposter syndrome?
It’s actually the reason I walked out with the deal.

Great story, right? 
Here are my 5 lenses that made it so good: 

Lens 1: Location
Say where you are physically so the viewer can visualize it.

Lens 2: Action
Use verbs. Movement creates momentum.

Lens 3: Internal Monologue
Share the raw, unfiltered thoughts in your head.

Lens 4: Emotion
Don’t name the feeling. Show it through physical reactions.

Lens 5: Dialogue
Drop reported speech. Let people hear the moment exactly as it happened.


So, whenever you write your stories make sure to include the 5 lenses so it actually makes someone feel something.

Your content is getting saves. 
Comments like "needed this today." 
DMs saying you're their favourite follow.
And yet.

The pipeline feels like a slog. The calls are longer than they should be. 

Someone's "still deciding." Another one ghosted after three conversations.

You keep tweaking. Better hooks. More value. Cleaner offer.
Still heavy.

Here's what nobody's saying out loud:
Your content might actually be too good at the wrong job.

When everything you post is helpful, warm, and relatable, you become a magnet. 
Just not always for the person who's ready to pay. 
You pull in people who are inspired by you. 
People collecting ideas. People who love the free stuff and always will.

They're not bad people. They're just not your people.

Meanwhile, the client you actually want? 
They're already in your audience. 
Quiet. Watching. Not commenting, not asking about your offer.

They're doing exactly one thing, looking for a reason to trust you operate at their level.

And if your content doesn't show them that clearly and fast? 
They scroll. 
Not because you're not good enough. 
Because the signal got lost in the noise.

More content won't fix it. 
A better hook won't fix it. 
Tightening the funnel won't fix it.

Nothing is broken. Something is misaligned.

And when the signal is off, everything ,every conversation, every sale, every "I need to think about it" - costs more than it should.

Here’s how:
Step 1: Pick your content pillars + personal story
Example pillars:
Content
Monetisation
Women entrepreneurship
My story

Step 2: List subtopics under each pillar

Content: strategy, scripting, storytelling
Monetisation: digital products, offer suite, funnels, building a business
Women entrepreneurship: independence, growth
My story: first woman in my family to not be a homemaker; artist → architect dream → chemical engineer → pricing analyst → creator again

Step 3: Know your audience deeply (struggles + desires)

Example:
Struggles:
- No time
- Camera hesitation
- Can’t scale
- Can’t hire
- No visibility


Desires:
- Create 1 month's content in 1 day
- Speak without scripting 
- $10k months 
- Work with the best talent in the country 
- 100k+ followers

Step 4: Use this formula for content ideas: 
Content idea = Pick one from above (Struggle + Topic + Desire)

Example:
No time + Content strategy + $10K months 
so my content idea will be: 

“If you have no time, here’s a 15-minute daily content system to earn $10k every month organically" 

Step 5: ChatGPT prompt to get 60 ideas used:

Generate 60 short-form content ideas by combining:
one struggle
one topic from my pillars
one desire
Each idea should clearly map from struggle + topic + desire and feel practical and actionable.
Here is my data [ give all the data about your content pillars, subtopics, audience struggles and desires] 

And voila! 
Now, go try it now or else you will forget it later!

It played in my head today as I was working
And for some reason, I rememebered being a kid,
just wanting to write with a pen instead of a pencil 
just like my brother was doing.

And I always wondered, if there ever be a day I’d be able to do that too.

And one day, without noticing, it just happened.
We switched to pens.
We switched from ₹10 for canteen to ₹4000 pocket money.

And then one day to thinking
“I don’t want to depend on my parents anymore.”
just like Bunny in the film

He did not know what he wanted but wanted to see everything
And yes, he feared commitments would tie him down…
But he still took that leap of faith.

And lived the life he once only imagined.

So if you’re sitting there saying,
“I don’t know what to do,
but I don’t want to depend on my parents”...
Please, don’t let fear tie you down.

Fear will always keep you small.
But dreams - that will pull you into a life you can’t even picture yet.
All it takes is one small leap.

And before you know it,
you’re living the life
that once only played in your head, like a song.
