HIGHLIGHTS
• For Comcast, developed a cross-platform experience, called xFi, that helps people understand, personalize, and control their smart home devices and network. Won numerous awards including HOW Design, GOOD DESIGN, A’DESIGN, HORIZON INTERACTIVE, iF Design, and a Webby nomination.
• Designed applications, data visualizations, and workflows for Morgan Staley’s desktop, mobile, and web-based financial content and tools, including one of the most robust deal-tracking tools in the Institutional Banking field, called D2.
• Architected the subscription product experience and flow for The Business Insider’s paid content site, accounting for scenarios such as free trial offers and account expiration.
• Launched We Vote, a nonpartisan digital platform that recommends candidates based on shared values, which enabled over 40,000 citizens to make better voting decisions in the 2018 midterm elections. Oversaw and mentored designers, researchers, and writers in developing UX strategy, wireframes, and final visual designs for desktop, mobile and tablet devices.

Bixal

Oversaw Bixal’s Human-Centered Design (HCD) Practice, including the Experience Design, Service Design, User Research, and Creative Services teams, in delivering products and services for Bixal’s high profile federal government clients such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, USAID, USA.gov, the General Services Administration (GSA), and more.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Established processes for researching and designing inclusive customer experiences (CX), including an extended contract to provide multi-cultural, bi-lingual user research, content strategy, design and development for Spanish-speaking users of USA.gov (the federal government “homepage”).
• Developed an operating framework based on behavioral science that promotes cognitive diversity and unifies disparate organizational practice areas around a shared mission.
• Supported HCD team development, crafted online spaces and activities to foster team culture, and organized Bixal’s first HCD Team Retreat to co-create a shared vision and strengthen social ties.

Sr. Director, Head of Human-Centered Design

Diligent Corporation

Managed a product design team at Diligent in developing a portfolio of WCAG compliant web and mobile products products used by businesses, healthcare networks, non-profits, and local government.  Championed user needs, design best practices, accessibility, and high quality execution from concept to completion.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Pioneered the digital transformation of public town hall meetings in the age of COVID-19 through the design of Community by Diligent, an inclusive platform that enables tens of millions of constituents of cities, counties, and community boards to participate remotely and safely in public school board meetings and community town halls, including viewing and proposing new items on public agendas, live video streaming, and speaking opportunities during meetings. Public admins and officials manage key governance practices through meeting scheduling, document sharing, meeting minute logging, agenda workflow automation, and more. 
• Simplified and illustrated complex processes through diagramming and system mapping, such as the overlapping workflows of multiple stakeholder groups involved in the planning and execution of public forums.
• Established new research, management, and design processes to help the company scale up rapidly, including a new project task tracking system, rapid research technique, and a roadmap prioritization framework.
• Fostered a strong design culture by aligning the team around a set of guiding principles, and codified them into the creation of Diligent’s new design system, called Atlas.

Directed multiple creative teams on concurrent, timeline-driven projects in the conception, design and implementation of engaging, digital products and platforms, multi-channel marketing campaigns, loyalty programs, and physical experiences. Drove innovation in emerging customer experience technologies like IoT, wearables, AR/VR, and geo-enabled retail.  Oversaw all aspects of the creative process related to a project’s vision and execution, including strategy, customer journey, user experience, visual design, animation, and content creation.  Performed audience research, stakeholder interviews, and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and align clients around a strategic vision.  Presented work to clients as the face of the agency, gaining their trust, and earning new business.  Recruited top talent and developed their abilities and career trajectories.

• Led the New York experience team on high-profile projects for clients including Samsung, J.Jill, ShopRite, The New School and more.
• Won multiple awards for work done with the Samsung B2B including Digiday, OMMA and B2 awards
• Developed Samsung’s strategic brand positioning and campaign for “Connected Living,” representing Samsung’s ultimate vision of how their technology connects together to elevate people’s lives
• Concepted business solutions and go-to-market strategies for Samsung’s Wearable Technologies
• Increased sales inquiries by 75% for the Galaxy Note9 campaign through interactive storytelling by working closely with the Experience Technology team to implement scroll-based, parallax animation
• Created new, modular publishing platforms for Samsung’s B2C and B2B websites, along with extensive design documentation and development specs, enabling long-term maintenance and expansion

Created new, cross-platform experience, called xFi, that helps people understand, personalize, and control their smart home devices and network.  Worked with product and engineering teams to build exciting, yet feasible products based on XFINITY design standards.  Iterated designs based on user-feedback, testing sessions, and in-home trials.  Mentored junior UX designers by providing design best practices and career guidance.

Product Design Lead Consultant

Morgan Stanley

Designed powerful desktop, mobile, and web-based tools for internal and external clients.  Managed multiple, simultaneous engagement with business stakeholders, providing concept-to-completion services through initial strategy, information architecture, prototyping, visual designs, and technical implementation.  Quickly learned complex, financial business requirements and rules through user interviews and ideation sessions, and translated them into simple user interfaces and visualizations.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Designed one of the most robust deal-tracking tools in the Institutional Banking industry, called D2

Product Design Senior Consultant

Citi

Founded the first mobile UX team for Citi Private Bank and Citigroup Corporate Communications.  Produced innovative mobile, website and software applications for internal and external clients.  Owned the design process from initial concepting through design. Developed visual and interaction brand standards for websites, applications and visualizations.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Designed Citi Private Bank Mobile for iPad, which won the 2012 Tabby Awards for Best Financial App, and was highlighted in a Forrester Report titled Best Practices in Tablet Apps for the Financial Industry
• Created the first Annual Report tablet app in the financial industry, which became the official Citigroup Corporate Communications app
• Developed the first-ever social network for the children of Private Bank clients, called NextGen

Vice President, User Experience Design

PolySuite

Founded PolySuite to reimagine how people use the web by providing powerful, innovative web tools.  Designed, produced, and launched a reinvented web browser, called PolyBrowser, which let people search better and work faster by stitching their websites together, side-by-side, like a panoramic photo.  Created a complimentary visual search engine and online social-bookmarking tool for the browser.  Honed the company strategy and branding through user interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis. Grew audience through SEM and display ads, leveraging A/B testing to refine messaging and imagery.  Assembled and managed a global team of ten designers and developers over the course of four years.

HIGHLIGHTS
• Ran a successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funding, and delivered final product on schedule 
• Secured coverage on Mac World, Product Hunt, Softpedia, Tech World, Beta News and Mac Update
