As a member of the executive team, I am tasked with the growth of our retail businesses across Canada and Australia, as well as holding the creative and marketing direction of the Group and its subsidiaries excluding Wealth (OTC) 

My main responsibility is to lead in group marketing strategy development and deployment to achieve growth across user base and trading volume. During my tenure, I started the platform data analytics initiative to actively monitor platform growth using PowerBI. I have also initiated a VIP-CRM program catering to frequent and top traders aiming for quality customer experience. I introduced Iterable as our go-to marketing automation too to integrate a seamless customer journey. I lead in the group’s SEO strategies, with particular attention paid to site maintenance, content, valued backlinks, and relevant keywords. Product marketing is also under my watch as well as sponsorships, event organization, social media, affiliate marketing, etc.
During my tenure Virgo has successfully:
- launched additional retail platform in foreign geo
- maintained an 80% user growth despite crypto winter and budget cutback
- started key customer features such as Virgo Gift Cards, Virgo Boost, Tiered Rewards, Referral Sharing Schemes, etc.
- overhauled data monitoring with PowerBI
- became an official Crypto Partner of the 2024 Canadian International Autoshow 

We have also managed to:
- achieved highest record of registrants in VirgoCx history with one event 
- reached top 10 positions within VirgoCX trading record for volume and transactions in 2024

Peter has over 15 years of experience in media, public relations and marketing across various industries. 

Peter relocated back to Canada in 2020 and started as the Head of Marketing for VirgoCX, a regulated cryptocurrency trading platform. He is responsible for the group’s overall marketing strategy across Canada and Australia, with a particular focus on growth, engagement and awareness. Prior to his relocation, he was the Senior Regional Marketing Manager at CAC40-listed business solutions provider Teleperformance where he led the marketing efforts in APAC during COVID times. 

At LinkedIn, Peter started as the point of contact for Hong Kong and Taiwan’s field marketing for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, organising and executing events to build lead pool while nurturing existing clients for demand generation. He was then reassigned to the LinkedIn APAC HQ structure and managed Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan) on events and field marketing. He was the lead for LinkedIn’s event sponsorship at B2B Marketing Leaders Forum and HubSpot GROW, as well as other LinkedIn event series such as Marketing Labs and prospect events. 

Previously, as Regional Marketing Manager for classic Danish luxury furniture brand Carl Hansen & Son, responsible for the APAC region, Peter strategised the region’s marketing development, created solution and tools to convert sales, planned budget and campaigns, and connected the brand with all touchpoints. 

During his tenure as Marketing Manager for Indigo Living, an international lifestyle furniture retailer based in Hong Kong, Peter was responsible for all marketing activities including media relations, creatives, external communications, data analyses, planning, development and execution of keynote programs such as CSR, CRM, events, etc.


Peter was part of the Madison Communications team that was named as finalists for Campaign Asia-Pacific's Independent Agency of the Year 2013. He also held on-camera roles with Canada’s Fairchild TV and Rogers OmniTV2, as well as the now defunct Cable TV in Hong Kong.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from McMaster University, Canada. In 2019, Peter obtained his License as Insurance Agent from the Insurance Authority.
