Roles and Responsibilities

1) Preparing Permits and Associated documents. 
2) Applying for drawings, JHA, Method Statements, ITP,  and QC Procedure and other related documents. 
3) Getting the permits endorsed. 
4) Preparing Check lists, Tool Box Talks, LMRA and other documents before the commencement of the work and also conducting Tool Box Talk meetings mentioning the tasks, hazards identified and controls to be implemented. 
5) Fulfilling the worksite requirements like site preparation activities, arranging Cable/Metal Scanners, fire extinguishers, H2S Area Monitors, Breathing Apparatus, Signages, PPEs and other equipments for assigned tasks and updating it and maintaining it in good condition in addition to fulfilling the material requirements. 
6) Measuring the quantities in advance if necessary and to be booked the concrete one day prior, to meet the site requirements. Fill Pour cards. Raise RFIs and Follow Up. 
7) Continuous work monitoring includes discussion of the related tasks and requirements, safe work procedures, monitoring, clearing doubts in between, conveying drawings at site, get in touch with the design team and planning departments in case of any flaws and drawbacks in the drawings. 
8) Support by means and ways to cost optimization and encourage cost-effective methodologies within the frameworks of HSE and Quality standards. 
9) Maintaining work ethics throughout, keeping the pace and rhythm of the work towards achieving the timely completion of the assigned tasks. 
10) Evacuation of the crew members in case of emergencies and reporting the incidents, accidents and near misses. 
11) Always keep the work sites clean and tidy as well as safe. 
12) Maintaining good client relationships. 
13) Timely closure of the permits and associated documents. 
14) Attending weekly and  monthly HSE and Progress meetings along with the updation of Daily Progress Reports. 
15) Keeping the records of the workers and equipment operators' - time sheets.

Flow Line Engineer

My duties included validating the permit to work, delivering tool box talk, ensuring the gas test being conducted by an authorized gas tester in the work site ( process facilities). Planning and executing the days' work safely with a crew of not less than 100 people including supervisors, foremen, chargehands and workers. Ensuring the work is in progress with the method statements and quality standards. Continuous monitoring and supervision of the work and crew members. Conveying the drawing details at site, updating any changes in the drawings after discussion with the project planner. Help to prepare As-built drawings if necessary. Meet the production targets within the time frameworks. Submitting the Daily Progress report to the construction manager (and client manager if necessary). Checking for feasibility of the progress of work by co-ordinating with other disciplines of the work like mechanical, electrical and instrumentation branches. Evacuation of the crew members to a safe assembly point in case of any poisonous gas leakage or fire hazards. Overall responsibility for adhering to the permit to work system in compliance with the ADNOC HSE policies.

Checking for the existing underground facilities (hindrances) like pipe lines or cables and checking for work feasibilty. Planning and executing the days' work safely with a crew of not less than 50 people including supervisors, foremen, chargehands and workers. Ensuring the work is in progress with the method statements and quality standards. Continuous monitoring and supervision of the work and crew members. Conveying the drawing details at site, updating any changes in the drawings after discussion with the project planner. Help to prepare As-built drawings if necessary. Continuous work supervision for masonry patch works and other maintenance activities. Helping the site in charge to finish the work qualitatively and quantitatively within the time frame work. Supervision of the finishing works like wall painting, painting texture, polishing,varnishing, fixing the doors, windows and frames, floor tiling works and false ceiling works. Helping the site in charge to prepare the quantity of the day's work, prepare billings and updating datas in the computer systems, keeping the muster roll of the workers and overall work supervision.

Site Supervisor

I have 12+ years of experience in the construction industry including 3+ years in the Gulf oil and gas sector civil works in addition to a steady 6+ years as a supervisor in telecom cable pulling and civil maintenance works. I am an expert in oil and gas PTW systems and safety evaluation.
