Yujian Tang started developing software professionally at the age of 16. In college, he studied computer science, neuroscience, and statistics and published machine learning papers to conferences like IEEE Big Data. After graduation, he worked on the AutoML system at Amazon before moving on to build his own companies including a data aggregation app, an NLP API, and his current company - OSS4AI, an organization aimed at providing all developers access to the resources to understand, use, and contribute to the direction and development of AI.

We provide legal, forensic and security consulting in cases in which language can be evidence, using our software ALIAS: Automated Linguistic Identification and Assessment Systems. We can help you identify the author of a document, how closely different documents overlap each other, whether the author was a native or non-native English speaker, if the suicide note is a real suicide note, if a threat letter is authentic.... and we base all our work on validated research using ground truth data.

Our software ALIAS is available by subscription to vetted and trained users from the investigative, intelligence, security, law enforcement, legal, and human resources communities. 

Our software LEGLER is available by subscription to attorneys and legal researchers.

ILE conducts primary research on forensic linguistic methods, maintaining research relationships with scholars in Spain, South Korea, Greece, England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and the United States. At ILE, Dr. Chaski manages research relationships and projects. Currently, ILE researchers are working in Spanish, Italian, German, Urdu, Arabic and Korean.

I taught linguistics to undergraduate and graduate students (Master's level) and provided assessment for a major grant funded by the US Department of Education for literacy programs in factories.

I taught linguistics to undergraduate and graduate students (Master's and Doctoral levels), revamped the linguistics colloquium, and worked with the Governor's Office for developing literacy programs for factory workers.

I'm a computational linguist who has developed software for forensic linguistics called ALIAS (Automated Linguistic Identification and Assessment System) and validated the implemented methods independent of any litigation, (some of which have already passed the scrutiny of Daubert and Frye hearings for admissible evidence). My method for authorship identification is patented and has high reliability from text messages to blog posts to emails to judicial rulings.

My goals now are (i) to partner with other forensic scientists who are seeking to improve forensic techniques related to pattern evidence and to strengthen current forensic sciences and (ii) to continue supporting law enforcement, lawyers, private individuals and corporate security whenever language is potential evidence in crimes and civil disputes. ALIAS software is available for subscription to trained users from law enforcement, security and human resources.
