Goodbye, Pepe. 🕊️ 

I found Pepe while biking around Houston a few years ago. He was an emaciated stray walking in the middle of the street with no collar. 

I told him, “If you don’t bite me, I’ll take you home.” He didn’t, and that moment changed both of our lives.

At the vet, we learned he was filled with heartworms and parasites. We treated him, gave him care, and he recovered. But his heart murmur never went away. Over time, it grew worse. 

Still, Pepe never lost his spirit. He was goofy, curious, and bold. He’d chase the big dogs like he was one of them, always convinced he could keep up.

Today, we had to say goodbye. His heart finally gave out, and we made the painful decision to let him rest.

You don’t always get to choose when someone or something comes into your life, but you do get to choose how you show up for them.

Even with a weak heart, Pepe lived with joy. And that’s a lesson worth carrying forward.

I will forever miss you my sweet boy.

SMU is one of the most important supermarket retailers in Chile. With a presence in all regions across the country and in Peru, its Unimarc, Alvi, Mayorista 10 and Super 10 formats, which make up almost 400 stores, reach where other players in the industry do not; and make people's lives easier.

My main tasks and achievements as a Senior Communications Analyst have been:

• Detecting communication opportunities about company events that can be used to communicate externally.

• Media reporting and monitoring on a daily basis.

• Constant contact with other areas of the company and support in the communication of their initiatives and actions.

• Writing content such as press releases and other resources.

• SMU's LinkedIn profile management as an additional communication channel.

• Briefing and support for interviews with company spokespersons and their key messages.

• Coordination with communications agency to execute SMU's communication strategy and positioning.

Extend Comunicaciones

Extend is one of Chile's most important communications agencies and is also part of Weber Shandwick's global network. With 70+ clients, it's been growing up to become professional, loyal and reputable, while being able to offer both a complete and tailored service to each account. As a Senior Account Executive, my main tasks and achievements are:

• To offer advice and complete dedication to our clients' communications strategies.

• Manage our client's reputation through the media. We make our clients expert spokespeople and someone for the media to think about and to go to when writing a story.

• Oversee our client's presence in different media outlets, according to their needs and the message they wish to communicate. To date, I've managed to achieve a presence that is worth more than $250,000 dollars in media coverage.

• Whether it's to react to an upcoming, past or current event, I've drafted and written dozens of press releases to guarantee our client's position with what's been happening.

Clients I have personally worked with include: Spencer Stuart, Itaú, Centro Cultural La Moneda, Capitaria, Toyota, Transparency International, MIT and Roche.

Crystal Palace Football Club

As a Matchday Communications Liaison, I serve as a frontline spokesperson on behalf of Crystal Palace FC, providing logistics information to the club's top tier customers. Highlights:

• Member of the award-winning team selected by Visit Football as a top Premier League club for customer service and hospitality during matchdays.

• Utilised relational and interpersonal skills to influence senior staff, VIPs, and other leaders in matchday customer services.

• Received certification on crisis communication and DEIB best practices for diverse stakeholder groups.

• Provided outstanding hospitality service during matchdays to, so far, 1000+ Palace supporters.

Matchday Communications Liaison

Kaufmann Mercedes-Benz

Kaufmann is the main Mercedes-Benz dealer in Chile, highly reputable for efficiency and reliability. Their branches in Chile employ 1800 people and our team of two at Head Office was responsible for all planning and logistics for more than 80 company events throughout the country, each one with a different budget and audience. Main highlights and achievements:

• Planning, coordinating and executing prestigious launches for cars, trucks, busses and vans. The notoriety these events gave to the brand increased our sales, with the X and A class being sold out during the pre-order stage, which involved more than 100 units.

•  10+ Product launches tailored for around 25 media journalists each, including test drives. A strong relationship with the press guarantees a solid presence in media.

• Writing press releases for new different vehicles, and also for event reports, while also keeping the website updated with news; all for diverse audiences. Since Mercedes-Benz has a wide range of audiences, knowing how to handle each is essential!

• Accountable at every stage dealing with dozens of different suppliers, caterers, florists, production teams and colleagues and superiors. Communication is the key for a steady flow and for an expected, hard-worked outcome.

• Researching/producing guest lists for up to 300 people and assessing budget spending to up to $100,000 dollars.

• Highly ‘visible’ at all events, ensuring every detail created a prestigious occasion, ensuring an enriching experience for every guest/customer.

• Sourcing influencers and media models to compliment Mercedes-Benz's reputation during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, among other tasks, as one the most prestigious fashion events worlwide.

Corporate Events Coordinator

Radio Agricultura

Radio Agricultura is one of the four main news radio stations in Chile, having as my main roles:

• Daily reporting on the different 1st Division football clubs.

• Daily live reporting on the sports section of the show.

• ‘On-pitch’ reporter during live broadcasts of 1st Division football matches.

• Live reporting of 2015 Davis Cup during playoff round of Chile against Perú.

Sports Journalist

+6 years of experience in project management, events coordination, media, and corporate communications. Along with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, I studied a Master's in Media and Communications at City, University of London.

My role involves communicating externally every company actios that aligns to its strategy and positioning.

Extend Comunicaciones, one of the most outstanding strategic communications agencies in Chile, allowed me to work with clients such as Spencer Stuart, Toyota, Oracle and Transparency International, among others, and being able to advise them directly on their communication strategies, manage their media presence (with +$100,000 in valorization), writing a wide range of contents, such as press releases; respond with extensive preparation to manage and react to any crisis that could arise, and build a reputation our clients can take pride in.

At Mercedes-Benz, my hands-on role included project management and event coordination of 80+ projects, while being involved in their Marketing campaigns and Communication plans with different teams, I liaised with diverse stakeholders across different levels of the company and its branch offices, from Executives to Regional Managers, to ensure quality and the highest standards. Different business models and customers for truck, vans, buses and cars, proves my ability to work for multiple audiences. I managed budgets to up to $110,000 dollars.

Radio Agricultura is one of Chile's most transcendent radio stations and with a national reach across the whole country, I went live every day during the sports show to inform the latest news about different first division football clubs. Teams covered include Universidad de Chile, Colo Colo and the USA National Team. Additionally, I provided live coverage for the Davis Cup Chilean National Team in 2015.

At Desafío Levantemos Chile, a highly reputable charity foundation, I leveraged my Communication skills to navigate through their everyday challenges. Tasks included developing and writing press reports weekly to report to the Communications Director, writing press releases, updating the website with the latest news and opportunities and filming and conducting interviews of people that were being assisted by the foundation.

Additionally, I am fluent in both Spanish and English, and I'm a Chile's Transparency International member.
