I work with 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗕𝗧𝗤+ 𝗺𝗲𝗻 — often in 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘀 — who feel stuck, hesitant, or quietly self-doubting, even when things look fine on the surface.

For most, what gets in the way feels like a lack of confidence or motivation. There’s hesitation, second-guessing, and a sense of resistance — even when things appear fine on the outside.

What’s harder to see is what’s happening underneath. Much of this operates automatically. With everything competing for attention, it’s easy not to notice how moments of doubt or pause are quietly interpreted as something being wrong — not because you chose that interpretation, but because it happens below awareness.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

It’s often only when someone slows down long enough to actually observe what’s happening — without judgment — that the pattern becomes visible. Until then, confidence and motivation tend to erode without a clear reason why.

I didn’t always see this myself. For a long time, I tried to push past doubt or out-think it. It wasn’t until I paused long enough to watch what was happening, rather than react to it, that I saw how quickly feedback was turning into self-judgment — and how much that alone was getting in the way.

𝗠𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂. I don’t subscribe to the idea that there’s something wrong with you.

It’s about learning to see what’s been operating quietly in the background — so the strategies that once helped you cope don’t keep running the show when they no longer fit.

In January 2016 I set the goal to find a man for a committed relationship. On August 15 I met my husband. What happened?

I didn’t have a magic wand, I didn’t discover “the” app where all the great men hang out…

But what I did have:
 
🌱 the curiosity to find what I had been missing

🌱 the courage to be honest with myself, even when it was painful

🌱 the stamina to keep going out of my comfort zone

🌱 the burning desire to find my person

🌱 the openness to try a new approach – even if I found it hard and weird

🌱 the support to help me get over hurdles and see what I couldn’t see on my own.

What was hard and weird? So much! 😆  

My coaches asked me to go on 3 dates per week (WHAT?? There are no men, I don’t have time…).

They also asked me to go on a date with any decent man who was willing. (NO! I want to have the spark with someone to date him!)

It was hard to socialise a lot – being an introvert and a single mum with 2 jobs.

It was hard to say no to the guys I had chemistry with who were my old, dysfunctional type - and yes to the ones how seemed ok but boring...

But it worked. I finally learned to date in an intentional, value-based and effective way - and to choose a man who is right for me and ready for commitment.

Growing up, I felt I wasn’t in control of my life – others were.

And then clinical depression woke me up and I discovered: it doesn’t have to be this way.

It's human to want love - and to want to share it with someone special.

This is a question that has fascinated me since I was a teenager.

Personally, I was in the second category until I reached my 40s - struggling in relationships and feeling like I could never have the deep connection I was longing for.
