For most, what gets in the way feels like a lack of confidence or motivation. There’s hesitation, second-guessing, and a sense of resistance — even when things appear fine on the outside.

What’s harder to see is what’s happening underneath. Much of this operates automatically. With everything competing for attention, it’s easy not to notice how moments of doubt or pause are quietly interpreted as something being wrong — not because you chose that interpretation, but because it happens below awareness.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

It’s often only when someone slows down long enough to actually observe what’s happening — without judgment — that the pattern becomes visible. Until then, confidence and motivation tend to erode without a clear reason why.

I didn’t always see this myself. For a long time, I tried to push past doubt or out-think it. It wasn’t until I paused long enough to watch what was happening, rather than react to it, that I saw how quickly feedback was turning into self-judgment — and how much that alone was getting in the way.

𝗠𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂. I don’t subscribe to the idea that there’s something wrong with you.

It’s about learning to see what’s been operating quietly in the background — so the strategies that once helped you cope don’t keep running the show when they no longer fit.

Most people on LinkedIn focus only on giving.

They comment.
They support others.
They engage consistently.

That’s good.

A jug that keeps pouring without being refilled eventually runs dry.

On LinkedIn, commenting is giving.
Posting is how you receive.

When you publish your own thoughts:

Engagement alone won’t position you.
Creation does.
