After acquiring the starting in 2016, I spent 7 years building a strong team of 1,500 employees, 100 million in revenue, professional, dedicated, and compassionate employees across Arizona, and Florida, to transform the business, and grow its patient reach and revenue from 0-100 million with In 7 years, Haven healthcare, did home health, hospice, Pallative, and tele health, which was sold two my two other partners, currently for 2023 it is on track to hit 120 million in revenue, with my management team, and Arizona being the core foundation for growth. 

Driven by the mission to help patients receive life-changing care and comfort, I expanded the business from a 

including home health offices, hospices, telemedicine health care providers, and nursing services, with a world-class continuum of care and top level of patient service.

Only one group sets the prices that drive premiums, deductibles, and medical debt, and it is not the insurers.

Nonprofit health systems set the “chargemaster” rates. 

Nonprofit health systems bill 3–10x more than independent physicians for the same CPT code.

Nonprofit health systems demand facility fees for care that used to be outpatient and affordable.

Nonprofit health systems buy up practices to eliminate competition, then raise prices.

And then...

They pay executives millions
They accumulate real estate empires tax-free
They lobby to restrict physicians from owning their work
They hide behind the word “nonprofit” like a shield

If insurers disappeared tomorrow, prices would still be unaffordable — because the price setters would still be in charge.

Yet there is a secret that 99.9% of the American populations does not know and

Healthcare is the defining issue of the midterms. 

It is not immigration, 
not inflation, 
not foreign policy.

No household budget has risen faster than health insurance.

No industry has consolidated more rapidly (Thank you @CMSgov)

No sector hides prices more aggressively.
(Thank you State Governors)

The core problem:

The US subsidizes monopoly behavior and outlaw competition.

I have met a handful of US lawmakers  that articulate a policy agenda around transparency, site-neutral payments, 340B reform, and CON repeal. 

The rest? 
Lost in the sauce or intentionally naive.

Healthcare will decide this election.
Everything else is commentary.

This is the story of American healthcare in one sentence.

When CMS, state regulators, and giant health systems hold all the power, the results are predictable: prices are hidden, competition is illegal, physicians can’t open facilities without permission from their competitors, consolidation replaces choice, and premiums climb while outcomes don’t.

Certificate of Need (CON) laws are a perfect example. They don’t protect patients, they protect monopolies.

Price opacity isn’t an accident, it’s a business model. And consolidation isn’t efficiency, it’s control.

If America wants lower premiums, better care, and real access, we don’t need more regulatory centralization. 

America needs the opposite: price transparency, open competition, the end of CON, and a healthcare system where physicians and patients, not CMS and monopolies, decide what care looks like.

Power works best when it’s closer to the people who actually use it.

That’s how you restore affordability. 
That’s how you regain freedom.

Why are your premiums high?

Want to understand how the U.S. medical device industry really works? 

Don’t follow the technology. 

Follow the reimbursements.

This isn’t a free market. 

It’s a tightly controlled growth machine built on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) payment policy and protected by the American Hospital Association.

Device companies scale by riding procedure volume and procedure volume is manufactured by how CMS pays. 

Raise payment for joints? 
Implant sales spike. 

Green light electrophysiology? 
EP labs explode. 

Offer add-ons for robotics? Hospitals rush to buy da Vinci machines they can barely operate.

Health Systems, with the American Hospital Assholes (AHA) as their PR and legal shield, use site-of-service markups and facility fees to justify outrageous pricing. 

That margin? 
It buys the devices. 
It funds the expansion. 
It locks in procurement deals. 
It feeds consolidation.

This is excellence in strategy. 
Large systems mean predictable volumes and long-term tech loyalty. 
The device sector loves it.

That’s why med device lobbyists sing in harmony with CMS and the AHA, not out of shared values, but shared incentives.

So what threatens this cozy triad?

Independent docs. 
Site-neutral payments. 
Price transparency. 

In other words: competition.

That’s the battle line. 
Don’t mistake opposition to reform as a policy debate. 

It’s just margin defense.

Why are health insurance premiums sky-high in Massachusetts?

Harvard knows consolidation raises prices.

MIT knows competition lowers them.

Senator Warren built a career yelling about monopolies.

So why does the great state of Massachusetts  write laws that forbid competition and steer patients into the highest cost settings?

Massachusetts banned new ambulatory surgery centers for 10 straight years.

Not limited.
Not restricted.
Banned.
2008–2017.

And the state still wonders why it has only 8 ASCs per million people… less than half the national average.

A decade-long ban + competitor veto power = one outcome:
Massachusetts families now pay $6,000 more per year in premiums.
