After acquiring the starting in 2016, I spent 7 years building a strong team of 1,500 employees, 100 million in revenue, professional, dedicated, and compassionate employees across Arizona, and Florida, to transform the business, and grow its patient reach and revenue from 0-100 million with In 7 years, Haven healthcare, did home health, hospice, Pallative, and tele health, which was sold two my two other partners, currently for 2023 it is on track to hit 120 million in revenue, with my management team, and Arizona being the core foundation for growth. 

Driven by the mission to help patients receive life-changing care and comfort, I expanded the business from a 

including home health offices, hospices, telemedicine health care providers, and nursing services, with a world-class continuum of care and top level of patient service.

I’m a healthcare operator and investor working at the intersection of economic structure, incentives, and control. 

My work is centered on a simple premise: independent physicians are not inefficient or unsophisticated, they are fragmented. 

Fragmentation is the enemy of leverage.

Across my work, I design and deploy physician-led economic infrastructure that allows clinicians to operate with scale, coordination, and retained economics, without consolidating clinical practice or surrendering autonomy.

Today, that work spans three tightly aligned efforts:

• Bliksem Health: a holding company building the economic operating system for independent medicine, governing physician-led infrastructure around data, payments, and risk.

A nonprofit hospital that reported a $201 million operating loss and laid off 650 workers just bought naming rights to the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice facility.

The American Hospital Association has a simple job: protect hospital revenue from every reform that would reduce it.

Price transparency would reduce it. 
So they sued twice to block it. 
Lost both times.

Physician-owned hospitals would reduce it. 
So they lobbied for 15 years to keep them illegal. 
Still fighting.

Site-neutral reform would reduce it. 
So they're spending $7 million per quarter to stop it.

They're not a trade association with occasional conflicts. 
They're a cartel with a communications team.

I have always found it instructive to describe a system to someone who has never encountered it and watch their face.

Describe this: a hospital pays no income tax, no property tax on $6.2 billion in real estate, borrows money at below-market rates on $5.3 billion in bonds, and buys drugs at steep government-mandated discounts through 200 pharmacy contracts, 40% of which are located in other states.

The total annual value of these advantages: $837 million.

Now tell them this hospital also just bought naming rights to an NFL team’s practice facility.

The face they make is the correct response. 
We have simply been conditioned not to make it.

In 2025, North Carolina authorized a new license type allowing internationally trained physicians to practice in the state without completing a U.S. residency. 

Virginia, Tennessee, and Florida passed similar laws. Remember Virginia and Tennessee are Certificate of Need states. 

The stated goal: address physician shortages in rural areas.

The math: a foreign-trained physician will work for less than $100,000. An American-trained physician with 11 years of training and six figures in debt costs three to four times that.

The issue is not nationality. 
It is structural arbitrage. 

When training standards, debt burdens, and licensing pathways vary widely, the system will exploit the lowest-cost configuration available.

Rome called it the foederati system.

Hire barbarians to guard borders you can’t afford to defend. 

The barbarians learned the system. 
Then they replaced it.

The AHA board chairman's hospital sued patients 8,000 times in one year for unpaid bills.
The AHA board said nothing.

Ask yourself: 
Who wins when the board chairman's hospital system sues thousands of vulnerable people for not being able to pay? The board chairman. And the AHA board knows it.

Ask yourself: 
Who loses? The patients. The credibility of the "nonprofit" label. Everyone except the cartel.

In life, we choose sides.  
Right is one side, and wrong is the other.  

The AHA chose.

Healthcare AI spending nearly tripled to $1.4 billion in 2025. 

Eight new unicorns.  Deal sizes running 83% larger than non-AI peers.

Almost all of this money flows to the largest health systems.

The curious irony: the physicians who need strategic AI the most are the ones least likely to know it exists. 

Independent practices are running complex operations with the analytical infrastructure of a 1990s accounting firm while the hospital system across town deploys ambient intelligence across 600 medical offices.

The gap is not talent. 
It is awareness. 
And awareness is the easiest gap to close.

Imagine your largest competitor offered to buy you. 
You said no. 
Your board said no. 
Your executive team said no. 
Thirty-two of your state's legislators said, "At least slow down."

Now imagine the competitor owned 50% of your governance structure and used that ownership to replace your entire board with people who work for them.

Then imagine the new board dismissed your lawsuit against the competitor. 
Eight days later.

This is not a thought experiment. 
This is what happened to Nebraska Medicine in January 2026.

The details are more interesting than the headline. 
They always are.

Every independent physician I talk to has many of the same challenges. 

1) Payer contracts they’ve never fully analyzed. They don’t know that you can negotiate as groups. 

2) Overhead they can feel but can’t pinpoint. 

3) They pay insurance premiums as expenses and don’t know or understand self-funding or captive structures. 

4)  And zero competitive intelligence about what’s happening in their own market.

Not because they’re unsophisticated. 
Ok, they are and they are busy seeing patients while the hospital system across town hires consultants to do the analysis for them.

AI eliminates that gap overnight.

That analysis to solve these problems used to cost $250,000 from a consulting firm. 

Now it costs very little. 

AI tracks which physicians in your zip code are independent vs. employed, which competitors are hiring, which service lines have gaps. 

The intel that corporate strategy departments generate quarterly, you can generate on demand.

Independent medicine doesn’t die from clinical inferiority. It dies from information asymmetry. 

AI closes that asymmetry permanently.
This is how independents win.

The three tiers of AI for physician-owners:

Tier 1: Operations. 
Compresses tasks your team already performs. Denial appeals. 
Charge capture. 
Credential tracking. 
Cash flow forecasting. 
This is where most people stop.

Tier 2: Intelligence. 
Creates visibility you currently lack. 
Market movement. 
Payer mix shifts. 
Competitor activity. 
Regulatory monitoring. 
Service line profitability by payer. 
This is what hospital systems pay entire departments to produce.

Tier 3: Strategy. 
Builds capacity that previously required consultants. 
Scenario planning. 
Capital allocation analysis. 
Growth opportunity identification. 
This is where the advantage compounds.

The physician-owner who reaches Tier 3 does not have a more efficient practice. They have a strategically positioned organization.
