I found my spark.

18 months ago, I left Marked to explore what's next.

When I saw what he was building, I reached out immediately.

It just clicked.

Health and sports aren't just hobbies for me, they're obsessions.
I genuinely want to understand every detail about how to optimize performance, recovery, and longevity.

So when we talked about Superhlth, everything aligned.

I'm excited (understatement) to announce I'm joining Superhlth as CMO & Go-to-Market Lead.

Finally found that project that gives me the spark.
The one where my personal passion meets professional purpose.

A few weeks into Superhlth.

And boy, I have been loving it.

I've been: 
→ Learning the tech inside out 
→ Meeting the incredible team 
→ Working on everything from strategy to execution

One of those things? A new website.

Am I a web developer? Hell no.
Do we need an upgraded version while we wait for the final one? Yes sir.

So off we go.

That's exactly what I love about the startup journey.

You don't get to pick and choose what's "your job."

You see what needs to happen. 
And you make it happen.

Some days I'm building go-to-market strategy. 
Other days I'm fumbling through website builds.

Both are equally important when you're building something from scratch.

But every single thing I'm doing helps me learn more about the product, the tech, and the user experience and it makes me better at my actual role.

You can't build great marketing if you don't intimately understand what you're marketing.

This is startup life. 
And I'm here for it.

We just created & shipped our new Superhlth website in a matter of days 🚀

Speed over perfection. 
Execution over endless iterations.

We combined 4-5 Framer templates, pulled the best building blocks, and got it live. 

The goal wasn't to create something flawless, it was to move forward and unlock the next phase of our go-to-market strategy. Whilst building our fully custom website in the background.

So we're live and ready for feedback.

Last week I told you I found my spark with Superhlth.

But here's the full picture.

After leaving Marked 18 months ago, I spent a lot of time reflecting on what actually matters to me.

Two things kept coming back:
- Working on projects that cross paths with my passions.
- Helping and challenging people, giving back through coaching and guiding.

Superhlth checks box #1 perfectly.
Now I'm checking box #2.

I'm joining Better Growth to co-host the 12-week GTM Accelerator program.

Why?

Because I've seen too many talented founders struggle with the same growth challenges:

Finding the people that matter at target companies shouldn't be as difficult as it is today. It's our mission to strip this process from opacity. DMU in its current form is just our first step towards making this a smooth, obvious process. 

We believe that in a few years, this should be like looking up PitchBook information or booking meetings with calendar links: you won't believe you ever used to do it any other way.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗯𝗼𝘅: 𝗪𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗦𝗢 𝟮𝟳𝟬𝟬𝟭 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🎓 
This wasn’t a checkbox exercise or a fast-track label.

It was a six-month, end-to-end journey that made implicit ways of working explicit, from documenting processes and clarifying ownership to embedding clear security governance.

Beyond the certificate, ISO 27001 strengthened our organisational maturity, accountability, and execution, all essential where trust, data quality, and compliance matter most to our customers.

We were happy to welcome Annemie Valkeneers from DQS to our office to personally deliver the certificate, making it a shared moment with the whole team.

A big thank you to everyone involved, especially our Managing Director Steve Deplacie, CTO Jeroen Van den Bossche and Stijn Boussemaere from Spinae, who helped lay the right foundations.

Now starts the next phase: keeping it alive, every day 🚀

Most of the best deals never show up in a process.

They’re discussed quietly.

Between shareholders.

Between advisors.

Before anything is “live.”

By the time a deal hits a broker list, pricing tension already exists.

openthebox helps teams see those companies before a process forms.

When timing is still on your side.

Good deals aren’t found late.

They’re identified early, while they’re still optional.

I'm a firm believer that we need to embrace capitalism again in Europe. It's what got us all our wealth, our freedom, our democracy, our welfare, our healthcare. You cannot have these things without a strong economy - and for that we need to be more than just a compliant consumer bloc. 

But we stopped being proud of what we do and what we are - and in some ways we've taken our eyes off the ball. Luckily, we're in a really strong position to build on. 

We also need to build. Technology, businesses, ideas. And for all of that, you need capital to be able to move freely. We already have free movement of goods and people in the EU. 

But we do not facilitate easy moving of capital across or into our bloc at all. 

2026 marks the year where openthebox takes on this challenge. To become the critical infrastructure of Europe's next decades of capital investments.

It's been 422 years since the Nieuwe Brug in Amsterdam became the world's first stock exchange. 

It's time we build bridges once again. We'll be doing our part in private markets.

Last week, we hosted our first QBR of 2026.

A moment to look back on a formative year for openthebox, align on the year ahead, and welcome fresh energy with new additions to the team.

One theme kept coming back throughout the day: building the bridge.

We took Amsterdam's iconic 'Nieuwe Brug' of the 17th century as inspiration - the world's first stock exchange - where big ideas took shape. We challenged ourselves with a simple question: why aren't we building as many bridges anymore?

At openthebox, we want to make Europe more investable by bridging fragmented markets and clear insight, and turning data into conviction and action. The critical infrastructure for the next decades of Europe's economic future.

And of course, we took time to celebrate properly too, with great food, drinks, and even better conversations.

Proud of what we’ve built so far. Even more excited for what’s next. 🚀
