I found my spark.

18 months ago, I left Marked to explore what's next.

When I saw what he was building, I reached out immediately.

It just clicked.

Health and sports aren't just hobbies for me, they're obsessions.
I genuinely want to understand every detail about how to optimize performance, recovery, and longevity.

So when we talked about Superhlth, everything aligned.

Finally found that project that gives me the spark.

Am I a web developer? Hell no.
Do we need an upgraded version while we wait for the final one? Yes sir.

So off we go.

That's exactly what I love about the startup journey.

You don't get to pick and choose what's "your job."

You see what needs to happen. 
And you make it happen.

Some days I'm building go-to-market strategy. 
Other days I'm fumbling through website builds.

Both are equally important when you're building something from scratch.

But every single thing I'm doing helps me learn more about the product, the tech, and the user experience and it makes me better at my actual role.

You can't build great marketing if you don't intimately understand what you're marketing.

This is startup life. 
And I'm here for it.

We just created & shipped our new Superhlth website in a matter of days 🚀

Speed over perfection. 
Execution over endless iterations.

We combined 4-5 Framer templates, pulled the best building blocks, and got it live. 

The goal wasn't to create something flawless, it was to move forward and unlock the next phase of our go-to-market strategy. Whilst building our fully custom website in the background.

So we're live and ready for feedback.

Last week I told you I found my spark with Superhlth.

But here's the full picture.

After leaving Marked 18 months ago, I spent a lot of time reflecting on what actually matters to me.

Two things kept coming back:
- Working on projects that cross paths with my passions.
- Helping and challenging people, giving back through coaching and guiding.

Superhlth checks box #1 perfectly.
Now I'm checking box #2.

I'm joining Better Growth to co-host the 12-week GTM Accelerator program.

Why?

My career started out as a brand strategist + motion designer. To be completely honest with you, even though I worked for an amazing agency - I hated not being able to work with ambitious businesses that wanted to disrupt their market.

I fell in love with business and knew it was time for me to jump ship and go all in as an entrepreneur.

Turn Your SaaS Website Into a Sales Machine

In the last year of building SaaS pages, I’ve seen plenty of 10/10 and 1/10 landing pages.

The 1/10s all do this…

Confusing, raw product screenshots
Copy-pasted ChatGPT copy
Content overload
Zero success stories

These sites are wayyy too common…

I think it's because it’s become so easy to throw a website together with the new tools we have available. But using them with zero strategy = yikes

I might do a more detailed breakdown of each section of a SaaS landing page in the next few weeks 👀 (features section, pain points, etc)

What would you want me to cover first?

Bad SaaS Landing Page v 1010 SaaS Landing Page

Your website has ~5 seconds to make sense.

Most SaaS landing pages waste all of them. 

Founders are playing it safe, or trying to do too much at once. If you also want to be a founder with a website that doesn’t convert here’s the playbook:

1. Sell vague benefits

“Grow revenue.” 
“Increase efficiency.” 
“Reduce churn.”

Cool. 

But what is the product and how does it actually help me?
If buyers can’t quickly explain what you do in plain language, they won’t stick around.

2. Use indistinct robot copy 

“Streamline operations.” 
“Empower cross-team collaboration.” 
“Leverage AI to drive growth.”

It sounds professional…  
…but nobody can picture it.

Abstract language creates abstract value, AND GUESS WHAT = abstract value doesn’t sell

3. Calling yourself too many things at once

“Productivity platform.”
“Project management tool.”
“AI workflow engine.”

When you try to be everything, you become nothing.
Pick one clear category for your homepage.  
Everything else is supporting detail.

4. Dump paragraphs before earning attention

Long blocks of text explaining every feature, capability, and edge case.

Instead of clarity, you get cognitive overload.

Lead with your core capability, then highlight the 3 most important features that support it.

That’s it. It can be that simple if it is CLEAR.

Can you think of any big SaaS players making these mistakes?

Got tired of seeing the same generic "Streamline your workflow..." hooks everywhere, so I spent the past 3 weeks analyzing hooks from 100's of SaaS landing pages

78% of SaaS companies are using hooks that immediately kill conversions

Here is what i'm constantly seeing 👇

Hooks that make people bounce:
"The #1 solution for..." (overdone and nobody believes it)

Hooks that leaves people confused: 
"Streamline your workflow" (too vague and means nothing)

Hooks that play it wayyy to safe:
"Join thousands of companies..." (sounds like everyone else)

Try this instead:

Problem agitation: "Still manually tracking leads in spreadsheets?" beats "Manage leads efficiently" every single time. People need to feel the pain first

Specific time/number promises: "Cut invoice processing from 3 hours to 12 minutes" outperformed generic efficiency claims by 340%

Contrarian statements: "Most CRMs make sales harder" immediately grabbed attention because it challenges assumptions

Top performing hooks don't sell the solution.

They remind you of the pain points.

And position them as the best fitted solution.

They make visitors think "that's exactly my situation, I NEED this!"

If your hook could work for any SaaS... It's probably trash

A hard reset was needed

“Work” is a foreign word for South Africans during Dezemba

Everyone is at the beach, camping, or visiting their families

For me and Bernhardt Niemand it was a crazy busy month. A time to put away distractions and focus on completing projects and prep for 2026.

And that energy carried through into January

Long hours in front of a laptop is mentally draining

But “resting” in front of another screen is like putting a bandage over an open wound (aint going to do that much)

Touch some grass (or water), push yourself, try out some new things  Best way to reset

Anyways, back to click clacking on my keyboard for 12h+

If you have an interview at a Fortune 500 company, you want to look the part. 

You’ll straighten your tie, comb your hair to perfection, etc

Because you know showing up with an untucked shirt and three day stubble isnt gonna land you the gig

First impression = everythingggg

Your website is kinda like an interview

It’s where prospects decide if they even want that first meeting with you

You might have a great resume…

But then they click on your site and see:

Outdated design: “What else have they neglected?”
Poor positioning: “Who is this even for?”
High barrier to entry: “This seems way too complicated to start”
Zero social proof: “ Does this even work? Is it a scam?”

They’ll move straight to your competitor. You know, the one with the modern branding that actually talks to their ICP.

Competitor Website Prospects Tell You NOT to Worry About

“Users love our product… but website visitors aren’t converting.”

I hear this all the time. And founders think they have the perfect solution that will fix everything: spending more on ads

But usually, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

And don’t get me wrong, web traffic is keyyy

But you have to think about where that traffic is heading. Let’s say you drive 10K+ people to visit your website this month.

That's 10,000 potential customers. 

But if they land on your page and it’s full of: 

Head scratching product screenshots
Copy that only sells vague ROI benefits
High friction CTAs
etc

Not a single one of those 10,000 will buy.

Ad spend can 100% grow your business. But if your landing page can’t turn those prospects into conversions, you’re just wasting your money (plus, you’re giving yourself a bad rep in the process). 

Fix your landing page first. Then scale your ads.

you dont know how to write because you dont know what your customers want

I speak to a lot of business owners who have no idea what to put on their website

they end up with something vague like “boosting productivity”

Which means… what exactly?

the simple way to solve this is to put yourself in the mind of your customer. What are they looking for? What problem are you solving?

take this example: you’re looking for new running shoes. Are you going to go in the store with the sign that says “clothes!” or the one that sells “shoes for those chasing sub-20 5ks”?

if you’ve got a good product, this step is actually easy

you literally just describe EXACTLY how you help
