I didn’t come up through marketing.

I came up through finance.

Investing, M&A, diligence across hundreds of omnichannel brands.

I then became an operator, managing and deploying budgets directly and making the pitch to finance for more. 

The same questions came up every time:

Where should the next dollar actually go? How can we scale profitably? 

Marketing was always the largest variable line-item that went chronically underutilized. 

ROAS looked great in decks.

Cash flow and lifetime value told a different story.

The real issue wasn’t growth.

It was efficiency of working dollars - marketing, inventory, and capital tied up in the wrong bets.

So teams default to decisions without a more forward-thinking lens: 

• Optimize to what could be tracked with clicks

• Undervalue upper-funnel channels

• Cut spend that *looked* inefficient

• Then wonder why demand fell apart weeks later

That gap is why I joined Prescient.

Railway's GTM messaging is a masterclass on clarity of thought.

Yesterday they announced their $100M Series B led by TQ Ventures with participation from FPV Ventures, Redpoint, and Unusual Ventures.

Railway's content engine has everything you could want: in-depth support docs, user and customer stories, milestone and momentums updates, etc.

But what *really* stands out is their comms clarity:

1) Vision clarity: "every person will become a developer"

2) Mission clarity: "we believe in unburdening the ambitious"

3) Problem clarity: "deleting the drudge work of deploying software"

4) Product clarity: "we built the world's first intelligent cloud provider"

Takeaway: the best B2B content stems from painfully clear, simple messaging.

HYPED to share our first case study of 2026 with Moselle 🚀

As Moselle started to ramp up GTM last year, their team (Lakhveer Singh Jajj and Hannah Astra) reached out to Verbatim as a content partner.

Here's what happened:

1) Challenge

Fresh off a $2.1M seed, Lakhveer was ready to scale Moselle’s GTM motion. 

The platform was already helping brands like AeroPress and Fable forecast, plan, and buy inventory with ease - no spreadsheets, no guesswork. 

But traditional marketing channels like cold outbound and paid demand gen were becoming increasingly saturated + costly in Moselle's niche. 

From their lens, content was clearly the best path forward. It could generate inbound leads, establish credibility, and position the brand as a trusted partner.

Lakhveer had previously experimented with freelance copywriters, but they needed a more strategic approach to building a high-velocity flywheel to drive engagement and conversions. That's where Verbatim stepped in.

2) Solution

After onboarding, our first priority was translating Moselle’s technical value into compelling case studies. “We focused on three case studies as the initial launch of content,” Lakhveer explains. “This gave us immediate assets for the site, social, and sales, and set the foundation for a scalable content process.”

These early wins not only generated visibility, but also created proof points that immediately established Moselle’s credibility with inbound prospects. 

Building on this momentum, assets were then strategically distributed across LinkedIn, email, and Moselle’s website - driving leads, boosting engagement, and expanding the brand’s presence without relying on saturated channels.

One of the most *consistent* mistakes I see Seed & Series A founders make when accelerating social proof is ignoring the importance of design.

Compelling design elevates great content + storytelling even further. It also builds subconscious trust and legitimacy in the minds of your buyers.

In contrast, poor CMS design degrades great content + reduces credibility.

- Keep at it for a long time

The hardest thing in the world is saying no to everything that's not your "one thing" -- and this only gets harder and harder over time.
