Today, we remember and honor all who have served or are actively serving. Thank you, veterans! 

A short history lesson, the holiday first got started in 1919 when then-President Woodrow Wilson wanted to recognize the soldiers from World War 1, calling the day "Armistice Day."

Then in 1954, President Eisenhower signed a decree establishing November 11th as "Veteran's Day" and recognizing veterans from all wars. And it's been that way ever since.
