I learned the four agreements at 36. They changed my life at 37.

For years, I handled setbacks like a classic founder-push harder, move faster, never stop.

But something was missing. I kept hitting the same walls.

Then my business partner David handed me a book. He’d mentioned it before. I ignored it.

But this time, I read The Four Agreements. And everything shifted.

Here’s what I pinned to my wall:

→ Be impeccable with your word. I learned words matter—they shape how I see myself and lead others. I make sure to say only what I mean. I use words to lift people up, including myself. Less self-criticism, more progress.

→ Don’t take anything personally. No one else sees the world the same way you do. People act from their own reality. Now, when feedback stings, I remember Tim Ferriss’ rule: 10% will always take things personally. I treat it as math, not emotion.

→ Don’t make assumptions. Assumptions create confusion and conflict. I ask questions and keep my mind open. I set healthy boundaries and seek clarity. When nothing is clear, I ask again. Strong teams ask—no guessing, no extra stress.

→ Always do your best. Some days my best looks like 80%. Other days, I only have 40%—so I give that 40% my all. Jim Kwik taught me: if you give all you have, you gave 100%. Show up, learn, move forward. No guilt. No looking back.

These agreements turned my setbacks into setups for growth.

I used to wish I’d learned this at 25. But I’m grateful I learned it at all.

5 simple steps to build automations with Google Workspace Flows

I built an automated briefing agent for every meeting. Here’s my exact 10-step process.

Google finally dropped Workspace Flows with Gemini power.

A bit late, but now every business on Google Workspace (like mine) can automate in ways we dreamed about.

I tested Gemini’s integrations with Google’s own tools. They lagged behind ChatGPT’s connectors, honestly.

But Workspace Flows changes everything.

I set up an agent that preps me for every meeting-zero manual work.

Here’s my exact 10-step build:

1. Create a new agent. Set triggers for every meeting, with a 60-minute duration.
2. Set a 60-minute time offset before each meeting.
3. Check for any required conditions before the agent starts.
4. Use Gemini to extract meeting title, keywords, and more from the calendar event.
5. Define variables: title, description, times, notes, attachments, location, guest emails, full names.
6. Have Gemini search Google Drive for the top 5 documents matching the meeting title. (This is still not very stable.)
7. Tell the agent to act as your executive assistant-pull everything together.
8. Send the meeting briefing as a message in Google Chat.
9. Test: does it find details, ID participants, fetch docs?
10. Review the output-make tweaks for clarity or formatting.

Now, every meeting gets a tidy, AI-powered briefing before I even log in.

No more scrambling for docs or guest lists.

If you haven’t trained your team on tools like this, the real unlock is mindset-access alone won’t change things.
