In this role, I was responsible for managing numerous client SEO accounts across a wide variety of industries in the eCommerce marketplace including electronics, construction, FMCG, health & fitness, food and many more. eCommerce SEO Specialist

After leaving Halifax in search of a new career path, I wanted to expand upon my existing writing skills and explore the digital marketing landscape. I joined Bespoke 4 Business as an SEO & Content Marketing Executive and worked within the SEO team. I specialised in creating detailed and engaging content across a variety of digital channels including social media, company websites and blogs.

Having built up a comprehensive understanding of SEO and its various techniques during my time in this position, I managed over 35 client accounts across a wide range of sectors from construction to estate agency. I worked on each individual account to the agreed budget and time parameters, monitored their progress and reported directly to each client regularly via both the telephone and email.

My role started in pure content creation, but evolved quickly to include analysis of marketing trends, website page construction, social media account management (across all the major channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram etc) and all aspects of SEO from keyword research and on-page iteration to basic HTML coding and technical optimisation.

Working in a busy and fast-paced retail environment, I became well versed in approaching customers to offer support, solve problems or promote relevant products that could improve their financial position.

My role involved interviewing customers face-to-face in branch to explore their financial needs, build rapport and gain an understanding of their unique requirements. I would then recommend the best banking and credit products available to these customers, and work collaboratively with other advisors (mortgage, financial, wealth etc) to deliver excellent service consistently and build long-term banking relationships with our customers.

I exceeded my sales targets consistently, used my initiative to take over the responsibility of fully training other members of staff and I always made a significant contribution to the overall performance of my team. I successfully achieved the Certificate in Retail Banking Conduct of Business (CertRBCB) which is an industry recognised qualification, and this helped to further improve my already wide-reaching skill set. I also helped to implement new ideas of my own to benefit the business and build the success of my branch team.

During my time at Waitrose, I helped to promote the company from within and make our customers aware of the fantastic additional services we offered as required.

After assisting my customers with their individual shopping requirements, I proactively advised them about services that could potentially be of benefit. My role developed from a basic checkout cashier into a sub-management team member who could suggest and advise on a range of services thanks to exceptional product knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.

As my first job role, I would then pass these customers onto more senior colleagues should they need it. Away from proactive upselling, I also took responsibility for regular cash management at the checkouts and the ongoing development of my general customer service skills.
