• Scouting for innovative technologies / ideas: Identifying commercially viable scientific ideas, innovations or technologies from Sanquin’s Research Division and supporting their translation into innovative therapeutic / diagnostic products or services (assets);
• Valorization strategy design: Devising valorization strategies to maximize the commercial potential of Sanquinnovate’s assets and avenues for exploitation;
• Business planning: Developing business cases, business plans and pitch decks to guide further development and potential partnering or investment prospects;
• Intellectual Property (IP) Management and strategy: Including overseeing patent filing and prosecution, IP portfolio management and patent strategy to safeguard the value of Sanquinnovate’s assets;
• Analyse and report on competitive landscapes and industry trends;
• Collaborations: Establishing strategic collaborations and partnerships with external parties including contract negotiations.

Additionally, I have extended my support to other Sanquin commercial entities, including the formerly known Sanquin Plasma Products (now operating as Prothya) by actively contributing to assessing potential business opportunities and identifying growth areas in their therapeutic pipeline.
