I started by doing my own thing. My own company — bureaucracy, administration, the whole nine yards. Thus, I grasp business better than your average manager/director/developer/CTO.

When it comes to software development and web apps, I tried everything. Horizontal development was the name of the game. I adapt fast, I don’t fight change, I catch on pretty quickly, no matter the task. 

Nowadays, I’m a fractional CTO with product responsibilities. Or VP of Engineering. Or a technical consultant. The technical-debt-exterminator. Up to you and your needs. These are my skills:

10 years have passed since I founded Canopy, now one of the leading Digital Marketing agencies from Romania.

In 2016, when you searched "Cristian Ignat" on Google, you would find the 2Parale guy. In 2026, the same search shows a 23-year-old football player. Basically, I’ve become 18 years younger without diet, without gym - just thanks to Google’s SEO :) - joke aside, that’s not actually me.

I’m genuinely happy with what we’ve managed to build with this brand. And even more with the people I’ve had - and still have - around me.

If there’s one thing behind these 10 years, beyond numbers, projects and plans, it’s gratitude. For the team members who stepped up in the easy times and especially in the hard ones. For the clients who trusted us to grow alongside them, sometimes in far from simple contexts. For the partners, collaborators and the wider community around us, each contributing in their own way to this story.

10 years don’t build themselves. They’re built from many small moments, decisions made under pressure, honest conversations and people who choose to stay close.

I met Norbert Prügl more than four years ago.

We were participating in one of the most serious RFPs we had ever seen. What impressed me most was how technically rigorous it was.

It wasn’t about slides. It was about building a real solution.

Each team had to prove how they think, how they design, how they deliver. The OMV team wanted to see who they would truly work with long term.

It was tough. And very fair.

One of the first questions I still get in meetings is: “Where is your team located?”. And honestly, every time I hear it I wonder something.

Wouldn’t it be more useful to ask questions like:
- Have you worked with companies similar to ours?
- What results did you achieve for them?
- How fast could we recover our investment by working with you?

Because in the end, results matter far more than geography. At Aggranda, we experienced this very clearly.

More than 5 years ago we started working with a client from France. In the beginning, some people internally were not very happy because we were not a local partner.

Six months later, the client told us they were extremely happy with the decision.
Five years later, we are still working together. And they even recommended us to other companies.

Location mattered at the beginning. Results made it irrelevant (!!!).

And I believe AI Agents will accelerate exactly this shift. When more work is done through AI Agents, automation and intelligent workflows, what will really matter is not where your office is.

What will matter is experience, proven delivery and the ability to generate real ROI.

This is why I believe mature mid-size companies like Aggranda, with years of real delivery behind them, will grow a lot in the AI Agents era.
