Stealth Startup

Designing AI-powered SaaS products at a stealth-mode startup. I work closely with the founding team to craft intuitive user experiences, conduct user research and support product development through design. Collaborating directly with engineering, I take ownership of the design process from early concepts to high-fidelity prototypes, building my expertise in AI design, customer insights and end-to-end product thinking.

Independent Project

• On top of my day job, I designed and developed an iOS app that helps learners expand Mandarin vocabulary through Chinese songs, combining synced lyrics, dictionary lookups, and grammar guides into an engaging learning experience.
• Built the application in 60 days using Claude Code in Cursor’s terminal, integrating APIs and a Supabase backend, and released it to 800+ active TestFlight testers.
• Created a proprietary dataset of 8,000+ authentic Chinese sentences to provide context-rich examples beyond what existing APIs offer.
• Marketed the app through social media, generating 2M+ TikTok views and growing early user interest; ran A/B tests on screen designs to understand user preferences and refine features accordingly.
• Spoke about the app at three events, two of which had 200 people in attendance.

Solo Builder

General Assembly

• Spearheaded the end-to-end design process for an Australian property management platform (Managed App), turning complex workflows into intuitive solutions for users. Designed a task overlay feature and redesigned the dashboard and action centre, improving task visibility, navigation, and property oversight while ensuring alignment with business goals. Rapidly prototyped conceptual product ideas, iterated on user flows based on research and feedback, and delivered solutions that enhanced user experience.
• Developed high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes in Figma, which were tested with users to gather insights and refine interaction patterns. Collaborated with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to ensure technical feasibility before iterating on designs.
• Led end-to-end design for a Singapore Botanic Gardens mobile app concept, created as part of a UX design challenge. Conducted 34 user interviews, observational studies, and competitor analysis to uncover visitor behaviours and needs. Developed features such as QR code- enabled plant identification, personalised route navigation, and event discovery – enhancing self-guided exploration without disrupting the offline nature of the Gardens.

UX Design Bootcamp Graduate

• Designed and implemented a data-driven content strategy, increasing followers on all platforms by over 1,000 within two weeks of launch.
• Collaborated cross-functionally with writers, editors, artists and developers to create a seamless and engaging digital experience across web, newsletters and social media.
• Developed audience personas based on subscriber demographic data and content engagement trends, ensuring content strategies aligned with user needs across key digital touchpoints.
• Ran A/B tests on content presentation and layout, measuring engagement impact to refine user interactions and improve usability.

• Managed all front desk operations, processing visas, passport renewals, and providing essential consular services to Irish citizens and visitors, ensuring accurate and efficient communication with diverse audiences.
• Documented and synthesized key points from high-level meetings between the Irish Ambassador and Singaporean officials, delivering clear and concise minutes to relevant parties.
• Collaborated on the editorial process for the Embassy’s newsletter, refining content to ensure alignment with diplomatic messaging and enhancing readability for a broad audience.
• Facilitated coordination efforts with the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the two-day official visit of the Prime Minister of Ireland, playing a key role in ensuring smooth logistics and consistent messaging across diplomatic channels.

• Conducted extensive literature reviews and archival research to support lectures by three S.R. Nathan Fellows, managing the end-to-end process of converting them into published books, each selling over 2,000 copies.
• Transcribed and summarised interviews for the IPS Oral History Project, transforming complex information into user-friendly content accessible to a broader audience.
• Assisted in the production of a podcast series by preparing questions, writing episode summaries, and creating transcriptions, ensuring content clarity and engagement.
• Coordinated content and event logistics for high-profile events, including the IPS Women’s Conference on Gender Equality and Singapore Perspectives 2021, each attended by approximately 1,000 participants.

• Recieved 4 months of Basic Military Training and 8 months of Officer Cadet Training before receiving the rank of Inspector. 
• Responsible for planning and coordinating anti-crime operations in Singapore’s busiest police division.
• Deployed for major events within the division, including the International Institute for Strategic Studies Shangri-La Dialogue, the lying-in-state of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, SG50 celebrations, the SEA Games, and the 2015 General Election.
• Documented minutes for division-wide meetings chaired by the Division Commander, where senior officers provided weekly updates on their respective units, ensuring key decisions and action items were accurately captured and followed up.

Singaporean Product Designer building AI-powered SaaS and mobile applications from concept to production. At a stealth-mode startup, I design and ship products powered by large language models (LLMs), working end to end from research and prototyping through to collaborating with engineers. I also handle much of the front-end implementation with the help of AI coding tools like Claude Code, which lets me move ideas into production quickly and iterate based on real user feedback.

On evenings and weekends, I vibe coded my first iOS app in 60 days using Claude Code in Cursor with a Supabase backend. I released it to 1,000+ TestFlight users, grew it organically to more than 2M TikTok views, and shared the journey through building in public, and have spoken about the app at three events in Singapore (two of which had an attendance of 200+).

My academic foundation is in research and storytelling, which I now apply directly to product design. Anthropology trained me to analyse human behaviour through ethnographic methods, Political Science gave me tools to uncover patterns with quantitative data (BA Colorado College), and History (Masters, Cambridge) taught me to shape complex material into narratives that resonate. Together, these skills let me dig deep into user needs, frame insights clearly, and translate them into product decisions.

As a Singapore citizen fluent in Mandarin Chinese, having also lived in the US, UK, China, and Taiwan, I bring a global perspective to design. That background helps me empathise with diverse users, adapt to different cultural contexts, and create products that feel intuitive across audiences.
