If I wanna take my kids out of school in term time so:

1. We can spend more time together as a family
2. Travel to somewhere that’ll broaden their horizons
3. Help them rest

I’m gonna do it.

Maybe not EVERY term.

But a couple of days to prioritise the important stuff isn’t gonna ruin their education.

It might even make it better. 

Depends on your definition of “education” I suppose.

I am 100000% more stressed now than when I had a job.

If anyone told you it's easy being your own boss - they lied.

I used to think my boss was a tw@t.
Turns out I'm a bigger tw@t to myself than he ever was.

At least he let me go home at 5pm 🤣

I still check Stripe at 5am like some kinda financial pervert.

The team sorts most things now. 
Most systems run without me too…

But my brain still thinks everything will collapse if I take a day off.

We had a group call FULL of inspiring quotes.

Here are 5 that I noted down:

1️⃣ → "New levels, new devils"
The more you progress, the more you'll come up against new challenges.

2️⃣ → "Surround yourself with fountains not drains"
The people around you influence how you work, think + feel.

3️⃣ → "The work is the goal."
Big ambitions are all well and good, but the actual goal is to consistently do what needs to be done to get there.

4️⃣ → "Indecision is a decision."
You think you're avoiding making a decision, but actually you're deciding not to decide.
And that's going to keep you stuck.

5️⃣ → "Build habits to the point they're easier to keep than they are to break."
Make promises to yourself + keep them for long enough that breaking them feels bad.

When you step back + internalise them… they’re powerful as hell.

I didn’t know what a mortgage was until I was out of school. 

When I started my business, I was NOT ready for the numbers side of things…

(I’m still not, in a lot of ways)

But one things for sure - I don’t want my kids to be in the same position. 

We’re teaching them about money, financial responsibility + how to make better decisions.

I let it interview me for about 2 hours while I was travelling.

I asked it to help me create a set of principles, using Jordan Peterson's Peterson's '12 Rules For Life' as encouragement.

It asked me shitloads of questions +  I just responded with voice-to-text.

Finally, we got there. And this is the finished output.

01 → Don’t be slow
People have a high motivation to buy for a short period of time.
Based on the pain they experience RIGHT NOW.
If you're following up 3 days later, they’re thinking about something else.

02 → VSLs are your standardised pitch
Take everything you repeat on calls + put it into a video.
Get people to watch it before a sales call.
Use the call to handle specifics.

03 → Proof is the way
Social proof is so effective that it's regulated in certain industries.
Crazy. The more proof you have, the more likely people are to buy.
Testimonials, Case studies, Screenshots, Video.

04 → Follow up BEFORE the call
Not after. Before. Send them the VSL. Send them case studies.
When the pain is highest (right after they book), hit them with everything.

05 → Discovery is 10x more important than objection handling
You'll only convert about 20% of people with serious objections.
The discovery is where you win. Get specific + pull teeth.

06 → 8 seconds of silence closes 32% more sales
Say the investment + STFU.

We binned off  'typical thinking' for our ICP.

Rather than fixating on our client’s age + favourite colour of paint…

We’ve decided to fixate on FIT.

Last month we through some IN-DEPTH analysis of the top 20% of all our clients.

And they all have one thing in common:
They’re all funnier than me.

If people don’t know how to have fun while they go through the pain of building their business, their misery will overtake their motivation + nobody wins.

(And quite frankly, we don’t want to work with anyone who doesn’t have a sense of humour)

Top 3 client traits from our research:

1 - Sense of humour
2 - So driven even hearing “no” 300 times won’t stop them
3 - Sick + tired of theory, ready for action

The best thing you can do is become known for one thing.
So the idea is to own something + hammer it home…
Until people can’t forget it.

What’s the part you always remember…?

The chorus.

Why? Because it’s repeated multiple times.
Your message should do the same.

Keep talking about:

➡️ The problem you solve
➡️ The outcomes you deliver
➡️ The ONE thing you want to be known for

Don’t be afraid to sound like a broken record.

Because while YOU might feel like you’ve said it a thousand times…
Someone in your audience is hearing it for the first time.
