I bootstrapped my first studio, building gamified products, then drove it into the ground through sheer hustle and zero alignment. The resulting burnout forced a hard reset: work had to become a path to enlightenment, not a treadmill.

That quest led me to cooperative ownership at Camplight, where we build tech the same way we live—collaboratively, transparently, and with skin in the game. I’ve since:

My best advice for training AI on your voice: find five great examples of your writing and let Claude analyze what makes them yours. It works. When you have the right examples. But most people don't. 

And even when they do, half were already edited by AI. 

There's another method.

Instead of showing Claude your writing, you let Claude interview you.

20 questions. 30-50 minutes. You answer honestly about:
- your beliefs
- your instincts
- how you think & work
- your writing voice
- your audience
- what makes you cringe
- the deeper stuff

Claude compiles everything into a Voice DNA document and uses it as reference every time it writes for you.

It works even if you've never published anything. Because it's not about your writing history. It's about what's already in your head.

1. Brand Voice DNA

Evaluates copy against a scoring framework — clarity, specificity, value proposition strength. Paste any copy, get a score + the top 3 things that are killing your conversion.

3. Ego Check
Scores how customer-centric your copy is (0–100). High score = your copy is about you, not your audience. Returns the worst offenders + customer-first rewrites.

How to set them up?
- Write your instructions and download/export them in a .md file (or ask Claude to format it for you)
- Go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Add
- Reference the Skill by name in any conversation

I'm building on March 8, because this is something I never thought was within my reach before. Twenty years ago there would be maybe one woman (if any) in the conference room of a tech company — and that's in the smaller, privileged part of the world.

I built my first AI agent this week. It scrapes the top posts (by engagement) from LinkedIn influencers I follow and sends me a weekly summary every Monday morning.

I've been intimidated by "AI agents" for a long time. Every time I tried a "no-code" builder, it still required technical knowledge I didn't have.

But I found Relay.app and it is surprisingly simple. Like, actually simple.

LinkedIn Content Intelligence Agent

My biggest struggle as an experienced marketer, I realized just recently, hasn't been adapting to the AI revolution. That's easier because it's all new and you start from zero.

My biggest challenge has been unlearning how I've done things for years. Realizing how much of my knowledge has calcified without me noticing.

I've been doing marketing for 15+ years. I have systems, processes, tools, habits I reach for automatically. A lot has changed, but in my mind "I know how it's done"…

A few examples:
- If I were starting today, I'd skip building a personal website entirely and just launch on Substack.
- Until last week, I was running two newsletters in separate Mailchimp accounts. I'd been postponing the migration to Substack for a year. It took a morning.
- Last year I thought creating a video course required a studio and a video team. Now I do it with one tool.
-I've taught content strategy the same way for years: audience research → buyer personas → SEO → jobs-to-be-done → funnel mapping → content plan. It still works. But it's incomplete now. Content consumption habits have changed. AI search is a new SEO layer. It needs updating.

And here's the big one: if you'd asked me last year what matters most for a company, I would've said "organic traffic" without hesitation. I built my career on it. But your presence on Reddit, LinkedIn, TikTok, Substack has its own life now, independent of traffic to your website.

Unlearning is harder than learning because you don't realize what needs to be unlearned until you bump into it. You just keep doing things the way you've always done them, wondering why it feels harder than it should.

New marketers don't have this problem. They're not carrying years of "this is how we do it" patterns. They're just doing it the new way.

Meanwhile, I'm auditing my own habits: "Am I doing this because it's still the best approach, or because it's what I know?"

I built my first app yesterday morning using Lovable, Claude and zero technical skills. It's a lead generation diagnostic tool that checks how customer-centric your marketing copy is.

Last year I built a custom GPT called Ego Checker: you paste your marketing copy. It scores how customer-centric it is across 5 criteria, exposes your top 3 ego moments, and rewrites your copy to speak to what your customer wants, gets, and becomes.

Users loved it, but a GPT has limits. You can't use it outside ChatGPT. You can't brand it. You can't build an audience around it.

Here's how I turned it into an online tool: step-by-step — with zero technical knowledge:

1. Refined the system prompt in Claude
Defined the scoring logic (5 criteria, 20 pts each), verdict ranges, the rewrite rules, and the tone. The entire analysis engine lives in one prompt.

2. Built the app UI in Lovable — prompt by prompt
Separate prompts for: the landing page, the input screen (text / URL / screenshot upload), the loading state with rotating messages, the results screen with a live score dial, breakdown table, ego moment cards, and rewrite box.

3. Connected Claude's API
Sounds technical — it really isn't. I got my API key, added it to Lovable's environment variables, and Lovable guided me through every step. The app now runs Claude under the hood in real time.

4. Integrated Mailchimp
Email capture on the landing page feeds directly into my Mailchimp audience. I would have preferred to connect it straight to my Substack newsletter — but that's not possible yet. Mailchimp it is.

It took me a few hours of focused work.

This is what no-code AI platforms now make possible for anyone who has an idea and the willingness to figure it out.
