Can agroforestry feed the world? 🌳
But that question misses the point.🌰

The real question is this:
• Can the world still feed itself without agroforestry?

The honest answer is increasingly clear.
No.

Agriculture is entering an era of extreme volatility:
• Climate warming
• Floods and droughts
• Violent rainfall events
• Rapid biodiversity collapse

Farmers are being asked to produce food in systems that are becoming less stable every year.

Any farmer facing that reality knows one thing.

Insurance is essential.

And in agriculture, the best insurance policy is perennial plants.

Trees.

Agroforestry integrates trees back into farmland, and that single design choice changes everything:

• Tree roots stabilize soils and improve water infiltration
• Canopies buffer wind, heat, and heavy rainfall
• Biodiversity returns, strengthening ecosystem resilience
• Farms gain multiple harvests instead of a single crop
Animals benefit as well.
• Grazing animals naturally browse leaves, improving nutrition
• Chickens experience less stress in shaded, complex environments
• Cattle show improved comfort and often higher productivity

And the opportunity for people is enormous.
Agroforestry does not reduce food production.

It diversifies it.

Nuts. Fruits. Leaves. Oils. Fibers. Medicines.

Entire categories of food that modern agriculture largely abandoned.

Human diets may need to rediscover many of these foods.

But the abundance waiting in tree crops is extraordinary.

A future with more trees in agriculture means:
• More resilient farms
• Healthier animals
• Greater biodiversity
• New foods for humanity

The transition is to thrive in the century ahead 

And that redesign has one simple principle.
Plant more trees in farms.
And eat more from them. 🌳🌰🍎
