For a HealthTech client: built a Fruit & Veg recognizer (99% accuracy on 150+ categories) with the personalized diet recommended for people with special needs such as for overweight, and diabetes. 2. For a client in express delivery: built a real-time vehicle routing optimizer satisfying various spatiotemporal and  business constraints.  3. For an EdTech client: built a speech error-detection ML pipeline to coach kids aged 5-9 to read. Built a language model and acoustic model adapted to kids’ speech by CMU Sphinx. Hand-engineered features are important to identify kids' speech errors.4. For a HealthTech client: led a team of 4 Stanford interns to build a deep learning classifier for recognizing 7 common skin diseases with 92% accuracy in 2018. Led a team of 3 engineers to build a chatbot based on a knowledge graph. Combining image and text I improved the classifier accuracy to 98% for +30 common skin diseases in 2021.

• DonationAnalytics is a ShinyApp that describes and analyses the NGO's database of 1.2 million donation records over the spans of 15 years. In particular it implemented five probability models to answer managerial questions such as 
* How many donors does the NGO still have?
* How many donors will be active in one year from now?
* How many transactions can be expected in next X weeks?
* Which donors can be considered to have churned?
* Which donors will provide the most value to the NGO going forward?

I developed an integrative approach combining differential equations, machine learning, and bioinformatics to answer several important questions concerning interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs) expression dynamics and transcription regulation. The mechanisms we identified provide novel targets for rational vaccine design.

I established mixture regression methods to model data with large number of features, small sample size, and different origins.  Simulation shows that the method is successful in selecting important features for data from different subpopulations. The application to flu vaccination data shows significant improvement of predictive power over a single global model.
