I hear this myth constantly in my coaching sessions—the idea that you’re just supposed to settle for less. Less muscle, sluggish energy, and a vanishing drive. Honestly? Even as a coach, I see the societal pressure you face and catch myself wondering if it’s true.

But then, one of my clients surprises me. She’ll hit a new personal best on her deadlift or show up to our session glowing because she finally had a week of deep, restorative sleep. It’s like her body is sending a clear message: "I’m still here, and I’m just getting started." 🔥

The data and biology support this, but real-life wins prove it. I’ve seen how a protein-rich meal can completely flip a woman's mood, or how a simple 15-minute walk in the sun can act as a total nervous system reset. ☀️

Look, I’m not here to sugarcoat the tough days. The brain fog and the fatigue are real, and some days, they’ll get the better of you. But what I’ve learned from the women I train is that your story hasn't been fully written yet. There is massive room for new strength, even—and especially—now. 💪

If you’re feeling stuck in that "settling" mindset, try one thing differently this week—one slight shift in your routine. You might be shocked by what your body is still capable of achieving.

There's a quiet kind of frustration that comes with doing everything "right" and still not seeing the results you expect. 👍

I see it in my clients, and honestly, I feel it myself some days.

You eat well, you move, you manage stress as best you can. And yet, the scale doesn't budge, or your energy dips for no clear reason. 🥗🏃♀️

It's tempting to blame yourself. To think you're missing something obvious. But the truth is, bodies are complicated, especially after 40. Hormones, sleep, stress, they all play a part, and sometimes the math doesn't add up. 🧬

I wish I had a neat answer. But what I've learned is that progress isn't always linear. Some weeks, the win is just feeling a little stronger, or sleeping through the night, or not giving up.

If you're in that place, you're not alone. It's okay to feel frustrated. Just don't let it convince you that nothing's working. 💪

Sometimes, the real progress is quieter than we expect.

Why are we still treating our bodies like machines that need a firmer hand and a tighter schedule? 🤨

I’ll be the first to admit it: years ago, I used to roll my eyes when people talked about “listening to your body.” To me, it sounded vague, soft, and frankly, like an excuse. I wanted rigid protocols and data, not intuition and poetry. 📋

But coaching women over 40 has completely changed my perspective—and my own life. I’ve realized there is deep, vital wisdom hiding in that discomfort. It’s the tension in your neck after a high-stress Tuesday. It’s the way your hunger patterns shift with your cycle. It’s that sudden, intense craving for greens after a weekend of heavy meals. 🥗

Look, decoding these signals isn't easy. I still get it wrong sometimes. But I’ve seen firsthand that ignoring those red flags costs you everything in the long run—your energy, your focus, and even your confidence. 📉

I now teach my clients to check in. Not with an obsessive tracker, but with honesty. What do you actually need right now? More intensity in the gym, or a restorative walk? More protein, or just a massive glass of water? 💧

It’s not a perfect system, but it’s sustainable. And honestly, it’s a lot more empowering than pretending you're a robot. 🤖

Maybe that’s the real "level up" after 40: it's less about chasing an impossible perfection and more about building an unbreakable trust with yourself—even when the signals feel a little messy. 👊
