I had the pleasure of attending the just-concluded Africa Blockchain Festival in Kigali, Rwanda,  and I’m still processing how impactful the entire experience was.

One standout moment for me was Salem’s session on Embracing AI in Creativity. It opened up new ways of thinking about the role of technology in artistic expression and was easily one of the most thoughtful sessions I’ve attended at any blockchain event.

But beyond the content, it was the people that made the event memorable — connecting with developers, founders, creatives, and business minds from across the continent reminded me just how vast and vibrant the African Web3 ecosystem is becoming. There’s real energy here, and even more importantly, there's alignment around building tools, communities, and opportunities that serve us.

Also, a special note of appreciation to the people of Rwanda - your warmth and hospitality were unmatched. Kigali felt like home.

Additionally,  I was also involved in planning and designing new construction projects for the university.

Through the internship, i learnt how to differentiate between reality and engineering. As a Civil engineering intern  i learnt how to  typically perform various tasks, including preparing and monitoring documents, working closely with the civil engineer to resolve issues and review complaints, and preparing plans and maps. I frequently visited construction sites to do their planning, quality control, documentation, and site execution.
