Change and Innovation Project Manager

Consulting in the social services sector as part of my MBA (and post-graduation), I am leading the digital transformation of Life Storybooks for young people in care. This project requires multi-stakeholder management, the development and maintenance of key relationships across all levels, meeting and surpassing key project deliverables and the development of effective change leadership implementation strategies.

The project necessitated the effective use of design thinking, lean and change leadership methodologies to manage various stages of the project and included the establishment of the additional project supporting elements such as foundation and design principles, organisational structures and development specifications.

Earlier in my career, I founded and scaled a financial services business to 2,000+ clients and $500M in assets. Burnout led to a complete reinvention: I sold the company, travelled through 23 countries with my family, completed an Exec MBA, and retrained in human-centred innovation.

That reset equipped me with the real skills leaders need to thrive in a VUCA world: slowing down to think clearly, making human-centred decisions in ambiguity, and turning insight into action.

As a Summer Intern, I'm working on developing the internal communication intranet using SharePoint as the main platform. My role includes integrating Microsoft 365 group frameworks like PowerApps and Power Automate to streamline processes and enhance features within the intranet system. Additionally, I'm in constant communication with the company's employees to understand what they'd like to see and the functionalities they need for a better intranet experience.

Worked full-time performing different tasks at the attraction "Toy Story Midway Mania" in Hollywood Studios. Part of my job was to operate the ride, collect/clean up 3D glasses, manage the waiting queues, assist guests, and park strollers. Also, sometimes prank the guests controlling a Mr Potato Head robot (behind the scenes) while they waited in queue for the ride.

Kia ora, I'm a Brazilian living in Aotearoa for over 8 years now. 
I have a good sense of humor and a lot of patience (probably because of my teaching background). I'm quite adaptable too, having lived in three culturally distinct countries (USA, Finland, and now NZ) and worked across various industries like education, hospitality, customer service, and now IT. Whether I'm flying solo or collaborating with a team, I find both equally enjoyable.

After experiencing burnout from teaching for a decade, I shifted gears and studied web development and UX for the last two years. I am enthusiastic about embarking on a career in this industry and further honing my proficiency in the languages and frameworks I already know, as well as learning new ones.
