Step 1. Ground yourself in intent.
Before speaking, ask yourself a simple question. Am I trying to prove myself right or am I trying to help the team think better? When your intent is contribution, your tone changes.

Step 2. Add perspective, not opposition.
You do not have to challenge people aggressively. A simple line works wonders. “May I offer another perspective?” or “Can I build on that idea?” It keeps the conversation open instead of defensive.

Step 3. Stay curious.
After sharing your thoughts, ask a question. “How are others seeing this?” Curiosity keeps dialogue alive and signals that you are here to think with the room, not win against it.

I turn 41 this year.

Most of what stressed me out at 25

The “urgent” emails.
The race to be impressive.

You’re choosing one either way.

9️⃣ Happiness isn’t having no problems.
It’s having better problems.

At 40, I don’t want an easy life.

I want a meaningful one.

And meaningful lives come with responsibility, discomfort, and growth.

You’re not behind.

What feels urgent today probably won’t matter in 15 years.

Most people aren’t afraid of being alone.

They’re afraid of being still.

Because stillness removes the noise.

No meetings.
No notifications.
No performance.

Just you and your thoughts.

And that’s uncomfortable.

So we stay “productive.”

Back-to-back calls.
Constant Slack pings.
Scrolling between tasks.

But here’s the uncomfortable truth:

If you can’t sit with yourself,
you’ll struggle to lead others.

Because leadership requires:

• Emotional regulation
• Clarity under pressure
• Independent thinking
• Decisions that aren’t crowd-approved

Solitude builds those.

Not isolation.
Not withdrawal.

Intentional time alone.

When I started protecting small pockets of silence:

Morning walks without podcasts.
Journaling without an agenda.
Sitting in a café without reaching for my phone.

I noticed something.

Clarity improved.
Reactivity dropped.
Decisions felt cleaner.

Solitude isn’t loneliness.

In a world addicted to distraction,

I recently watched a 40-second video that left me breathless. A young woman, balanced upside down on her hands on a rotating platform, bow and arrow gripped between her feet, spinning through the air.

But that's not all. On her shoulder, she's balancing a weighted rod. And while managing all of this, the rotation, the balance, the weights she hits her target.

How many of us feel like we're spinning right now? The demands never stop. The pressure mounts. The ground keeps moving. And yet, we're still expected to hit our targets. To deliver. To succeed.

Here's what that remarkable archer taught me about navigating chaos:

✅ Accept that the spinning won't stop She didn't wait for the rotation to stop. She accepted her reality and worked within it. Your chaos, career transitions, family demands, market uncertainty isn't going away tomorrow. The power comes from accepting you can still aim while spinning.

I recently watched a 20-second drone video that changed how I see success. A cyclist, trailing 100 meters behind with six riders between him and the leader, suddenly accelerates in the final 500 meters. One by one, he overtakes them all—and wins. The caption read: "Nobody cares about your story… until you win… so win."

Why We Quit When Victory Is Closest:
✅ We mistake temporary fatigue for permanent defeat–That project that's draining you? That career pivot that feels impossible? You're not failing. You're in the final 500 meters. Your exhaustion is proof you're close, not proof you should quit.
🔥 We compare our middle to someone else's finish line–You see competitors ahead and think you've lost. But races aren't won at the halfway point. They're won when everyone else decides the pain isn't worth it anymore.
💔 We romanticize our struggle more than our victory–We get comfortable being "the underdog." We build identities around our hardships. But champions don't fall in love with the struggle, they fall in love with the acceleration.

In today's world, it's hard to imagine being without our mobile phones and the internet. We use them for everything from staying connected with friends and family to getting work done. But what if we were to take a break from all of that? What would we do with our time?

There are many things you can do when you're off mobile and internet. Here are a few ideas:

1) Spend time with loved ones. This could mean going for a walk with your dog, playing games with your kids, or just sitting down and talking to your partner.

2) Get creative. This could mean painting, writing, or playing an instrument.
Exercise. Take a walk, go for a run, or do some yoga.
