If you’re talking to someone important, DON’T do this. 

Don’t put them ABOVE YOU in the conversation. 

What does this mean? 

- Being too agreeable 
- Being too eager to please 

Example: 

Earlier today I’m listening to a sales call from one of my clients.

When the prospect would say something about his problem, my client would say: 

“Oh yes, absolutely, lots of people deal with that, that’s a great point” 

(Watch the video to hear the tone I used - that’s what matters most)

The words aren’t terrible, but the energy comes across as:

“I want you to like me” 
“I want you to accept me”

And it seems like you’re putting the other person above you.

It’s better to have a more neutral energy. 

And this is true no matter how big or important the other person is.

If you want to have more success with important people, speak to them as if you’re on a level playing field.

After all, you’re both humans, right?

Do you agree with this frame?

He claimed we really only make it because of tradition.

These 6 simple shifts completely transformed my speaking.
(And my life)

If you do even 1 of these, people will respond to you differently. 

I guarantee it. 

1.) When explaining something, clearly start with your main idea. 
(You're tough to follow otherwise)

2.) Show genuine interest in whatever situation you're in. 
(It’s contagious and people appreciate it)

3.) Serve your audience instead of focusing on yourself.
(They care more about themselves than you)

4.) Free yourself from judgment. 
(Again, they care more about themselves than you)

5.) Plan your stories in advance. 
(They'll be better than 99% of impromptu stories you hear)

6.) Put in more reps. 
(Communication is a skill that needs intentional training)

Which shift will you try first?

And which one has made a difference in your life?

I’ve always HATED this feeling. 

Years ago in a meeting, my boss asks what my thoughts are about one of our processes.

And I have great ideas. 

But…

I ramble and don’t articulate them well. 

When I finish, he stares at me blankly for a couple of seconds, then asks: 

“Anyone else?”

No acknowledgment. 

Then one of my coworkers says something similar. 

But in a more clear, structured way. 

He also sounds more confident.

And everyone was like: 

“Oh, that’s such a great idea, I agree with him, blah blah blah”

Very annoying. 

I’m thinking “I work harder than this guy, and he’s not even very smart, this is nonsense” 

But it was my fault for being a poor communicator. 

And it was my responsibility to be better. 

I decided that communication would never be the thing to hold me back from reaching my potential.

And today as a coach, after working with over 300 1-on-1 clients, 

I never want that to be the thing that holds ANYONE back from reaching their potential. 

So if you’re into self-improvement and becoming the best version of yourself…

This might be worth exploring. 

After all, it’s a skill you use every day, right?

If you want to speak with confidence, you need to stop ‘sitting in the dark.’ 

It’s costing you more than you think.
  
One of my clients described this perfectly:
 
“Improving my speaking feels like sitting in a pitch-black room.
 
And each week, you’re turning up the dimmer switch.”
 
When we started, his “room” was completely dark.
 
He couldn’t see what was holding him back.
 
But every week we worked together, the light got brighter.
 
And he started spotting the things he’d never noticed before:

— The small body language cues that chipped away at his credibility
— The weak, throwaway words that softened his impact
— The facial expressions that gave away his emotions
— The lack of clarity when speaking on the spot
 
These weren’t constant issues.
 
They only appeared in high-pressure situations.

3 Silent Credibility Killers (that might be keeping you stuck)

One of my clients was stuck in the same Director role for years.

Smart guy. 
(Also a bit of an overthinker)

But he couldn’t figure out why he stopped progressing. 

After reviewing a few of his meetings, the issue was clear:

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝟑 𝐂𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤.

𝟏.) 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲

His explanations weren’t sharp or concise enough.
(Articulation of thoughts)

𝟐.) 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

He was unconsciously sending signals of uncertainty at times. 
(Voice and body language)

𝟑.) 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

He’d sometimes assume understanding without confirming. 
(Listening and paraphrasing)

To the average person, these things probably didn't seem like a huge deal. 

Which is why he had a good job and was well-liked. 

But the difference between *good* and *excellent* is what can set you apart from others. 

And that's how you keep moving up. 

So here's what we did:

→ Clarity: Trained his brain to speak clearly under pressure
→ Confidence: Removed the uncertainty signals 
→ Confirmation: Learned to pause & paraphrase the right way

A couple months after working together, he scored a VP role at another company. 

(Keep in mind, the program itself is 3 months, so I won’t sugarcoat this and say he got a new job overnight)

But if you ever feel:

If you don’t sound confident, people *don’t care* about what you’re saying.

That’s the cost of unclear communication.

I’ve seen smart people waste many hours: 

- Listening to podcasts 
- Watching YouTube videos 
- Going through online courses 

The problem is that consuming content doesn’t mean real-life improvement.

Here’s what actually works.

1.) Training your brain to clearly articulate your thoughts.

2.) Rewiring your confidence on a subconscious level

3.) Getting feedback on the exact situations you’re in. 

(The ones that actually help you make more money)

That’s what helped my client Mark turn things around quickly.

It’s a question that comes up sometimes. 

Here’s the truth: 

Most people start noticing a difference within 2 weeks.

But these are small changes. 

The bigger transformations happen over a few months.

Now in those first 2 weeks, what do people usually notice?

It depends what we’re working on, but it’s some combo of: 

- Finding it easier to organize and articulate your thoughts 
- Feeling a bit more confident and in control 
- Feeling a bit calmer and more composed
- Less filler words and weak words 

Now keep in mind, these aren’t MASSIVE changes immediately.

There’s no magic pill where you wake up in 2 weeks and suddenly become an elite communicator.

Trust me.

Because I’ve been trying to create one of those magic pills for years.

(If I figure it out, you’ll be the first to know)

With that said, you keep noticing changes as you improve each week.

And by the time the program ends, most people are shocked at how much progress they’ve made.

They’re also shocked at how differently people respond to them.

Why?

Not because we did anything crazy.

But because they’ve never had a proper, customized plan to follow before.

It’s like anything else.

How much money do you save without a proper budget or plan for your finances?

If you’re like me… probably not much.

But when you have a proven plan to follow, that’s when you start seeing real results.

Communication works the same way.

A lot of entrepreneurs think they’re “pretty good communicators." BUT...

That belief is exactly what’s holding them back.

Because if you think you sound "good enough"

You stop improving.

You stop reviewing your calls.
You stop asking for feedback.

And slowly, you start losing opportunities you never notice.

“Good enough” leaves money on the table. 

It doesn’t command rooms.
It doesn’t inspire people to follow your lead.

I’ve coached founders who built 7-figure businesses.

But they knew their thoughts weren't clear enough under pressure. 

And they still had those moments thinking: 

"I wish I had said that differently"

Now a quick question to think about: 

How would you know if your communication skills have plateaued?

“You’re not making as much money as you want because you’re not saying the right words. 

Or saying them the right way.”

Hormozi is right. 

And because I’ve helped over 300 people with these exact things, I’ve seen a lot of mistakes.

Let’s talk about a MASSIVELY common mistake I see all the time.

(I’ve literally reviewed thousands of calls from myself and others, and this happens WAY more than it should)

The mistake:

Not giving enough space for your words to be absorbed. 

This comes across in 2 ways:

1.) Going too fast
2.) Not pausing the right way

If you do this, it’s harder for people to absorb and understand the significance of what you’re saying.

Which means you’re much less likely to get the results you want. 

If you give your words space…

It’s easier for people to understand the value of what you’re saying.

This shift alone could make you a LOT more money. 

And get you a LOT more buy-in on your ideas.

So watch your calls back, watch your meetings back, and make sure you’re not making this mistake.  

P.S. When was the last time you watched a recording of yourself speaking?

Do you like to talk? If you do, great. But… 

It doesn’t mean you’re GOOD at it. 

Many of my close friends are extroverts. 

But just because you’re an extrovert… 

It doesn’t mean you’re a good speaker. 

Extroverts may feel comfortable in social situations and enjoy talking more than introverts.

But effective communication is a lot more than being outgoing. 

For example:
 
- Explaining things clearly and concisely
- Telling interesting stories
- Staying calm under pressure 

These are important skills regardless of personality type. 

And if you’re an introvert, you can 100% build these skills. 

And become an exceptional communicator. 

(Even better than your extrovert friends, if you’d like)

Becoming a great speaker requires effort and training. 

Regardless of your personality. 

And whether you’re an introvert, extrovert, or anywhere in between…

I’m rooting for you. 

You got this.

I once threw up before a meeting.

Okay, not once. 

Repeatedly.

I struggled a lot with speaking early in my career. 

It made me feel unworthy of success.

But the good news is that it forced me to learn a lot. 

5 lessons I learned from this period:

1.) Confidence is not a fixed thing.  
It’s something you can program into your brain. 

2.) Anxiety grows in avoidance. 
Trying to speak less doesn't solve anything. 

3.) Even 5 minutes of prep helps. 
Writing ideas out before a meeting will make you speak better. 

4.) No one wants you to sound smart. 
They just want you to be clear and simple to understand. 

5.) Time does not heal all things. 
Waiting for things to get better does not work. 

Thankfully, I'm now comfortable speaking in all different types of situations. 

Do I like to do it? 

Well, let's just say I still have to fight the introvert urge to stay home all the time. Haha 

But anything is more enjoyable when you know what you're doing.

A founder I'm working with was UPSET after a board meeting:

“I was trying to sound stronger and ended up rambling.”

He runs a $10M+ company.
Incredibly smart guy.

He does big numbers.
He has the vision.

But when he had to speak in big moments, he still overdid it sometimes. 

- Talked too fast.
- Explained too much.
- Added points that didn’t need to be there.

Not wrong... just too much.

And it made his message harder to follow.

“I could see them checking out,” he told me.

“It felt like I was trying too hard.”

How did we fix this?

We worked on: 

1.) Tight structure
2.) Clear pacing
3.) Cutting 30% of what he was saying

A few weeks later, an investor said to him:

“You seem more sharp lately.

I don't know what you're doing, but it's landing better.”

He was pumped. 

Strong communication isn’t about talking more.

It’s about sounding clear, confident, and credible.

And instead of feeling frustrated or annoyed...

(because you know you could be speaking better)

You get to feel confident and proud of the way you speak.

Do you ever feel like you’re trying too hard to sound “on”?

If you've ever been  talked over in a meeting, here’s 1 thing to change immediately:

Start your points with clarity and conviction.

Not fluffy uncertainty. 

So instead of:
“I think this might be a good idea”

You’d say:
“This is a better path forward, and here’s why.”

Because the first version creates doubt.

And the second creates respect.

People who struggle with this often think it’s just their personality.

– “I’m not the kind of person who takes up space.”
– “I don’t want to sound too aggressive.”
– “I’d rather let others speak first.”

I hear this type of thing too often. 

But here’s what you need to know:

1.) You deserve to be listened to.
2.) You deserve to be taken seriously.
3.) You deserve to show up with powerful presence. 

One of the shifts I often work on with clients is helping them feel and sound more confident.

Once they make this change, everything else gets easier:

- They’re less stressed when put on the spot 
- Their ideas come out more clearly
- They feel more calm under pressure

This is how communication should feel.

Clear. Composed. Powerful.

And it’s absolutely possible for you.

Remember: communication is a skill you can learn.

(And excel at)

You can have all the brainpower in the world, but you have to be able to transmit it.”

I’ve done hundreds of calls with prospects over the years, but I heard something RARE yesterday.   

We’re discussing the motivation behind him wanting to become a better communicator, and he says: 

“Well, I like giving gifts to people, I like buying nice things, I like giving people experiences.

And in order to give people the best experience possible, especially my clients, communication is a big part of that.”

He goes on to say:

“I’m a person that values quality, and the way that I speak should reflect that quality at a high level.”

This was interesting because normally people say things like: 

—> “I want to be more confident” 

—> “I want to advance my career and make more money”

—> “I want to grow my business and be able to influence people” 

—> “I want to get into politics so I can deceive people and get large amounts of power only to use it for personal gain and then not do any of the things I promised”

You know, the usual stuff. 

(Just kidding about that last one)

But this was a bit different. 

It was about: 

1.) Delivering an elevated, premium experience every time he speaks.

2.) Holding himself to a higher personal standard.

I thought it was interesting.

He wasn’t just on LinkedIn, he was building something real. 
A business. A life. By simply just being himself.
 
He was selling without “selling it”. 
Sharing his journey so transparently. 

That for the first time, I felt
“Maybe I can do this too.” 💛
 
At first, I thought I'd need super connections to even talk to him.
 Or wait in line for his 1:1 spot.
 
Then he launched LinkUp → his community
 
And yeah… I joined for the hype.😅
 (You would’ve too.)
 
But I stayed for what it gave me: 
• Grew from 0 to 11K+ followers
• Built a 6-figure design and strategy business
• Got a coach who actually answers my every single question!
• Found creators who would check in with me 
  (because LinkedIn does feels lonely at times)
 
Today marks a year.
 And if you're in Link Up , you know this isn’t just another whatsapp group.
 
It’s the only place where people show up as themselves
(Yes, with their kids, pets, oat milk, and odd timings.)
 
I joined to write better.
 Because yeah, I was that person who couldn't explain what they did.😭
 Now I write like I've lived it.
 Because I have. 💛
 
And next year? 
We're all meeting in person. In Bosnia.
 (Yes, I had to Google it too.)
 
But was it worth it?
 1000%.

Today, I officially hired Sana Arif for my biggest project yet…
 And honestly? I never thought I could create this kind of impact on LinkedIn.
 
I didn’t grow here because of the algorithm.
I grew because of people.
 
A few months ago, I randomly searched “design” on LinkedIn…
and found a creator whose work instantly inspired me.
 
She posted daily. 
She showed up consistently.
And somehow, her comments kept pulling me back.
 
That creator was Sana Arif 💛 
and she became one of the first people I trusted on this platform.
 
We supported each other long before the DMs. 
That trust came naturally.
 
Then one day, 
I pitched an idea that had never been done on LinkedIn before → and she said yes.
 
Two ambitious women. 
Tiny communities. 
Same yellow brand color (iconic 😂). 
One mission: create something meaningful.
 
That’s how we launched LinkedIn’s first design challenge, 
where 100+ people showed up.
 
Since then, we’ve learned from each other non-stop. 
Her logo skills? Next level. 
Our timezones? Terrible 😂 (She sleeps when I wake up → yes, she’s a night owl lol.)
 
And now… 
I’ve officially hired Sana for my biggest project.
I’m SO excited → can’t wait to reveal it soon. 💛
 
If you’ve found real friends here, you know the feeling.
Sometimes all you need to meet the right people…
is to show up and create.

Let's Be Honest: Nobody remembers your Logo

They remember the FEELING it gave them. 👇

You've got your logo, colors and product
but how do you explain it to people?

Think of it this way: 

👀 Design = what they see
🏆 Branding = what they feel

Still confused? Lets clear it up:  

1. Design makes them curious
   → A bold font, a scroll stop visual
   → It attracts and hooks them
   
2. Branding builds the emotion
   →A voice they can trust and vibe with
   → Its the reason they come back
   
3. And Together? They tell a story
   →Not just "look at my work", but "here's why it matters"
   → So make it about them and not you

Don't just be a logo people ignore.
Become the brand they actually remember 

(through a smile😀, a pizza🍕 or just the right wording)

Logo vs Branding

I thought getting a job would be my ultimate success…
 
It’s not… That was just the beginning 😭
 
Growing up, the formula was simple:
 
study hard → get the grades 
get the degree → get the job 
when you have the job → don’t question anything!
 
So the moment I wanted 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦, 
my whole system froze 😂
because nobody taught us
how to try something “not safe”
 
or how to ask: 
what if I want more than “just stable”?
 
yet that tiny itch
the one that kept whispering “go for it”
became louder than my fear.
 
Sure, landing that dream job might look like success.
BUT
That’s just the beginning. 😭
 
Actually growing beyond it takes courage, consistency,
and a little humility to look silly while learning.
 
For me, it started with 30 minutes a day on LinkedIn with my Job...
While my colleagues asked, "What are you even doing?"
I kept showing up.
 
6 months later, 
Finally ... I’d learned how to write, and design,💛
and most importantly trust myself enough to keep going.
 
It wasn’t as fast as “10k followers in a month.”
But it was real.
 
Change isn’t a switch.
It’s a muscle. 
You move it a little, then a little more….
 
So if you’re scared to try something new because it’s not “safe,”🙏🏻
remember this failing isn’t the real fear.
 Regret is.

I almost quit LinkedIn… 
until I learned the real truth about engagement.

The clients who pay you the most… 
rarely engage with your content.

And the ones who like every post? 
They almost never buy from you.

Funny how that works, right?

When I joined LinkedIn a year ago,
...my posts were doing 10 likes maybe 20(on bonus days)

and I used to think that maybe am not good enough😢

But here's something no one's telling you
lack of engagement ≠ lack of attention.

Nearly 70% of my clients have never engaged with my content
(yes not even a single like!)
yet 50+ people still hired me.

So, how did I get there?

1. I started writing for the ONE, not the many.

Showed up for that ONE reader who needed me
because you don't need a 100 people to sell to one right?

2. Be patient in the first six months.
In the beginning, nobody knew what I did.
Nobody cared. Nobody trusted me… yet.

And honestly… how could they?
People were still learning who I was. 

Still deciding if I made sense,
because growth and trust takes time to build

3. I did what most people my age weren’t willing to
In my 20's, my friends were: 
→ partying 
→ just “doing their jobs” 
→ or posting "pretty" pictures on the internet

And there I was… trying to build a business while working 9-5 (still am, btw!)
And maybe that’s exactly what showed people I was serious.

So back to you 💛
You’re not invisible.You’re just growing quietly. 
Let them see you in their own time.

This 5 minute calendar fix

increased my impressions by 50%...

For 6 months, I kept telling myself: 
“I’ll engage on LinkedIn when I have time.” 
(Spoiler: I never had time.)

I’d scroll at random hours. 
Drop comments when I had time
and just hoping something would “work.”

and here's what I got:
→ Low reach and anxiety of checking it again and again
→ Most random conversations on "just stay connected!"
→ Zero discipline and well no consistency

Then I realized: if it's not on my calendar, it's not my priority.

So I finally blocked my time to ENGAGE
→ Morning: Engage with my Singapore & Asia-based crowd (they post early)
→ Evening: Reply to DMs, comment on my global network’s posts 
→ Sundays: Plan what I’m posting, when, and who I’m talking to

 ✅ Bonus: I have a Physical to-do list 
(because crossing things off makes my brain go yaaas queen!!💛)

The result? My impressions are up by 50%...
But more than that, I finally feel present here.

Jasmin Alić says it best: “Your calendar is a mirror of your priorities.” 
So if engagement’s not in there, don’t act surprised when your results feel "meh"

Stop trying to “niche” your hook.. you are losing people!

Start with a feeling to keep them.

Tijana Savović and I wrote 50+ posts nobody read.. 
Then we changed one thing in our hooks, 
and the results shocked us👇

 8 likes → 300+ likes in 24 hours.
(Yes, THIS is the part no one teaches.)

Because the real reason most hooks do not work
Isn't because we cannot write,
It's because they are not broad enough for your audience to relate to,
and.... there is no story inside them

(Yes, we’re back to stories… again 😂 
But trust me, this gets better!)

Here are 5 beliefs you need to change
and the ones we broke too:

1. “I need to sound smart to be taken seriously.”

I used to write like I was defending a thesis.
Polished. Perfect. and honestly so Pointless.

Then it hit me → people don’t fall in love with perfection.
They fall in love with humanness.

The day I stopped performing… they started listening.

2. “My topic has to be niche for people to care.”

I once wrote about how meeting project deadlines can be a struggle!

It blew up → because emotions are universal.
Your niche isn’t the topic. Your niche is the feeling.

3. “Motivational posts always work.”

“Stay consistent.” “Keep pushing.”
You’ve read it a thousand times.
You’ve scrolled right past it too. 👀

But when you talk about day 47 with no appreciation,
People stop. People feel. People trust.

Honesty beats hype. (Every single time)

4. “Every post needs a advice or framework.”

I once wrote about how I stopped pitching… and started listening.
No steps. No framework.
Just honest opinions

That post brought more sales than any “5-step cheat sheet” ever did.
Because people buy from emotions, not instructions.
