I identified a SINGLE DM opener strategy CONSISTENTLY outperforming everything else:

Multi-Thread Conversations.

Here's how they work:

STEP 1 - THE OPENER

Keep it simple.

"Hey NAME"

Next...

STEP 2 - THE RESTRAINED COMPLIMENT

Give them a compliment.

But don’t show too much enthusiasm...

Instead of: "LOVE what you're doing with (COMPANY)!"

Use: "Solid work with (COMPANY). Interesting approach"

This shows you're not easily impressed + are an expert.

STEP 3 - THE OFFER REPHRASE

Literally just take what they do and put it into a question.

"You do Google ads for marketing agencies right?"

Pries pain points + shows you did research.

STEP 4 - THE AUTHORITY-BUILDING OBSERVATION

Make an INSIGHTFUL observation about their biz/industry demonstrating your expertise.

"Wait you work with agency owners yeah?

Funny how most agencies have 20-30% margins. 

Super tough to scale because you need to hire A-players and to do that you actually need 40-60% margins..."

Shows you're HIGHLY EXPERIENCED in THEIR niche...

Be hyper-specific on a prospect-by-prospect basis here

STEP 5 - THE PERSONAL CONNECTION

Connect as DEEP as possible personally... use:

- Culture

- Geography

- Hobbies

Example:

"Ahh you're in Chicago? I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. Like 6 hours West of you guys. Used to go to Evanston all the time. Miss me those deep-dish pizzas. My mouth is watering right now thinking about it"

This shows you're not JUST trying to get the sale.

Plus you build a warm connection.

Make this LAST message in your initial DMs so it's what someone sees in their DM inbox when they open it up.

You’ll book a qualified call every 30 minutes of DMs once you master the skillset.

It’s a genuine SKILL which will LINE YOUR POCKETS for a LIFETIME.

DM mastery is reverse engineering EXACTLY how a prospect perceives you.

And presenting yourself in a way that BUILDS THE PERFECT IMAGE OF YOURSELF IN THEIR HEAD so they…

1 - Trust you enough to book a sales call

2 - Show up to the call with enthusiasm

There’s a way to do this CONSISTENTLY.

So you’re not just booking 10-15% of DM convos into calls…

2 - EMOTIONAL CONTROL

DM mastery is the skill.

But emotional control is what you need to execute.

Here’s what ACTUALLY HAPPENS when you send DMs at an energetic level.

You send 10 DMs.

You get 4 replies.

6 ignore you.

1 of the replies says “not interested”.

2 others end up unqualified.

1 books a call.

In the meantime YOU GET TRIGGERED:

“Ugh why are they not replying”

(Anger/frustration)

“They ghosted me… who do they think they are?”

(Insecurity/unworthiness)

“They didn’t reply. I don’t wanna look desperate so I won’t follow up”

(Fear of judgment)

Unconsciously listening to these emotions and doing what they tell you to will cost you BIG TIME.

You must be in control of your emotions.

Be conscious of your triggers.

And act LOGICALLY.

That’s how you book 10+ calls a week on LinkedIn.

You are the master of your emotions, not the slave.

3 - QUANTITY

OK boom so now your last potential bottleneck is quantity.

You are NOT sending enough DMs.

PERIOD.

You think you are.

But you’re not.

Luckily you don’t need to send 2,000 a day.

Not even 200 a day.

Send 20 DMs a day consistently, Monday-Friday.

You’ll be OVERFLOWING with clients.

Coming from my own, coaching clients + Lab member experience.

You might need to STOP sending DMs in order to keep up with fulfillment.

(Seen this happen quite a few times actually)

DM MASTERY + EMOTIONAL CONTROL + QUANTITY = 10+ CALLS/WEEK.

That’s the formula.

Master the skillset.

Control your emotions.

Execute consistently and at scale.

Do all 3 you’ll book more calls than 99.99% of people on LinkedIn.

Skip ANY of these and you’ll stay stuck at a couple calls a month.

"Willing to see if and how I can help?"

"Yeah I mean that's gonna help you at a really high level"

I always foreshadow intros with relevant/valuable people.

I always send valuable assets unrelated to the sale.

Prospects know I have their best interest in mind and genuinely care about their well-being and success.

7 ways to know you have a messaging problem in your coaching business....

When your messaging is off, everything else in your business is more difficult. That's why dialling in a Magnetic Message is where I start with (almost) every client.

And after working with 430+ people from 17 different countries, I've seen the patterns.

So here's 7 signs that your messaging needs some love...

1. YOU FEEL AWKWARD ANSWERING THE “WHAT DO YOU DO” QUESTION.
You dread the question or find yourself feeling embarrassed after trying to answer it.

2. IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN YOUR VALUE WITHOUT A LONG BACKSTORY.
You need 10 minutes to explain what you do + why it matters. 

3. PEOPLE STRUGGLE TO KNOW IF YOU'RE THE COACH FOR THEM.
When folks land on your profile or website they can't quickly identify if you're the coach "for them" or not. That's because your language is too broad ("I help humans transform their life"), because you're showing zero personality, or because you're using too much coachy coach jargon that doesn't mean anything to the average person.

4. YOU'RE ATTRACTING THE WRONG CLIENTS.
The people who reach out either don't align with your values, drain your energy, aren't ready to buy, or are in total crisis mode.

5. YOU'RE NOT PROUD OF YOUR CONTENT, PROFILE, OR WEBSITE. 
The words don't sound like you. Maybe you borrowed language from other coaches, filtering what you say, or hiding who you really are. 

6. YOUR CONTENT GETS ENGAGEMENT BUT YOU DON'T GET INQUIRES.
Claps ain't cash. So even though you're getting likes + comments, you're not getting clients. This means what you're sharing is interesting, but it's missing what makes people take action.

7. WHEN YOU DO GET ON CALLS WITH PEOPLE, YOU HAVE TO DO A LOT OF EXPLAINING.
You have to spend a lot of your time on calls explaining, teaching, and maybe even convincing people (instead of the calls being about strategy + if you two are a fit).
