Won AdAge Viral Video Award for Most Viral Celebrity Spot.

Consulted on script and strategy for A.1. Sauce New Friend Requests viral video, garnered 1.3 million views. Grew Old Navy Facebook page from 2 to 8 million likes.

I created the first Mixed Martial Arts(MMA) Sporting Event Series/Promotion in Cache Valley, Utah, advertising on social media, print, interactive, events, radio, and TV, drawing crowds of 1,500+, now called Mountain Force MMA with dozens of events, 9 years running. It has grown to events in multiple cities in the Rocky Mountains region and is one of the main growing grounds for up and coming fighters, some of which have ended up in the UFC. In the beginning I handled all facets of the business myself- health insurance, bonds, licensing, media placements, PR, web development, sales, signing fighters and managing a 15 person staff at events. 
I Partnered with Olympic Gold Medalist Rulon Gardner for branding. We produced $52,000 in ticket sales, sold-out our venue, were on the front page of Herald Journal and Utah Statesman. 
I sold the promotion in August 2012 to focus on other endeavors.

I constructed a social media plan for an online quiz celebrating the web's 20th anniversary for visibility with potential clients. I developed a newsworthy story around the quiz and seeded it to bloggers, Twitter influencers, journalists, publications and researchers. 

My organic strategy led to 130,000 page views in 10 days with no media spend. This quiz assisted IQ Agency in being named a top 100 Social Media Agency by Forbes. 

It was featured by Chris Coyier (also tweeted) on CSS-Tricks.com, the Atlanta, Houston, Orlando and San Francisco Egotists, tweeted by Robert Scoble (200,000+ followers), featured on stumbleupon.com, 20kaido.com (Japan), elwebmaster.com, webdesignerdepot.com, efectosocial.net, and conecti.ca to name a few.

Dr. Mansur Khamitov (PhD, MBA) is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, a Founding Chair of American Marketing Association's Branding Pop-up SIG, and a Communications Chair of Society for Consumer Psychology. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario.

His research stream focuses on consumer information processing particularly in relation to branding (brand transgressions, brand relationships, brand loyalty) and financial decision-making (money, saving, gambling).

His research appears in the leading marketing (JCR, JM, JCP, JAMS), psychology (JESP, Cognition) and popular press (HBR) outlets. He serves as an Associate Editor (AE) for Journal of Retailing and Journal of Interactive Marketing as well as an Editorial Board Member for Journal of Consumer Research and Journal of Consumer Psychology.

He was selected as a Marketing Science Institute (MSI) Young Scholar in 2023, a title awarded to “potential leaders of the next generation of marketing academics.”  Mansur was awarded a 2024 Society for Consumer Psychology Early Career Award and a 2024 AMA Marketing Communications SIG Emerging Scholar in Marketing Communications Award. Further, he has also been recognized as a 2020-21 Research in Practice Award Co-Winner and 2017-18 Rising Star by the American Marketing Association’s Consumer Behavior Special Interest Group as well as a 2017 Highly Commended Doctoral Research Award recipient by Emerald/EFMD.

​His work has successfully obtained funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development of Ontario, and AIM-AMA Sheth Foundation. 

Prior to starting his Ph.D., he spent several years working in fast-moving consumer goods and the pharmaceutical industry. His industry experience is mostly in branding and marketing management, including work as a senior product manager at Polpharma and a brand manager at P&G, where he managed such brands as Oral-B, Blend-A-Med (Crest), Camay, and Safeguard. Mansur has taught Integrated Marketing Communications, Integrated Brand Promotion and Advertising, Market Intelligence/Research, Consumer Behavior, Principles of Marketing, and Advertising & Marketing in Emerging Economies at Indiana, Nanyang Technological, Western Ontario, and KIMEP universities.
