Having developed a resilient shift in mindset I saw opportunity where others experienced trauma. I saw an important, unmet need in the marketplace, which became my catalyst to become a Career Transformational Coach.

After three decades of work as an International Education Specialist, I found my calling as an Author for Parents and Teens.

During the pandemic, I found my passion for writing and my book, Parenteening Made Simple was launched in December 2021. This book also has a Hindi translation available on Kindle.

In 2022, I focused on writing a book for girls called Girl Empower Yourself. This book guides and mentors every girl as they evolve into well-adjusted, happy and healthy women. The Hindi translation of the book is available on Kindle.

In 2023, my book, ABC of Parenting was launched. The highlight of the book is the mental and emotional health of adolescents. It explains the parenting pillars, which parents will find extremely useful. The stories shared by 10 parents, which highlight their experiences, have been found to be very valuable.

🏏 **Renuka Singh Thakur** lost her father at age 3. Her mother took up a Class IV government job to feed the family. Renuka rose from the shadows of loss to the heights of cricketing glory.

🏏 **Kranti Gaud** fought hunger and hardship. Her father lost his job, her mother sold her jewelry to fund her passion and she once borrowed shoes just to play.

🏏 **Uma Chetry** cycled 20 kilometres daily to attend cricket training, come rain, come fatigue, come anything.

🏏 **Amanjot Kaur** had no bat, and the boys refused to play with her. Her father, a carpenter, made her one by hand. That wooden bat became her sword.

🏏 **Harmanpreet Kaur**, now our captain, was scolded by her mother for playing cricket with the boys but she played on.

🏏 **Jemimah Rodrigues** faced trolling for making reels. She battled anxiety and depression but chose to focus on cricket to overcome fear.

🏏 **Deepti Sharma**’s brother quit his job so she could pursue her cricket dreams. Today, they both stand vindicated.

🏏 **Radha Prakash Sharma**, daughter of a vegetable and milk vendor, once played with borrowed gear; now she inspires millions.

🏏 **Shefali Verma**, cut her hair short and dressed like a boy to continue her practice at a boys academy 

These women didn’t just *play*, they *persevered.*
They turned pain into purpose, struggle into strength.

The scoreboard shows runs and wickets.
But the *real* numbers? Countless tears, sacrifices, endless family support and miles of grit.

Let’s celebrate not just their victory, but their *resilience.*

Psychologist Angela Duckworth’s research at the University of Pennsylvania found that grit, not IQ or talent, was the strongest predictor of success among students, cadets, and professionals.

In fact, students with higher grit scores were 40% more likely to graduate than those with higher intelligence scores.

Our teens don’t need to be perfect; they need to be persistent.
When we celebrate perseverance more than performance, we help them build the inner strength that outlasts setbacks.
