To do this I demonstrated a strong ability to work with all parts of the Lockheed Martin global organization to collect data related to recent and emerging competitor, customer and industry trends and then perform analysis for all Australian new business opportunities to determine impacts on source selections and competitor offers/solutions.   The position involved collecting data, analyzing a wide variety of approaches, applications, and solutions/technologies for a diverse set of new business pursuits including aerospace, maritime, combat management systems, training, radar, CBRN, UUV, UAV, ICT, CIED, Intel, geospatial, armored vehicles, Space related, satcom, cyber, biometrics and C4ISR.

In this position I prided myself on using extensive analytical skills to gather and present data in a timely manner to develop a "Position to Win" for Lockheed Martin. This then provided capture teams with information to affect solution development and enabled a more compelling solution for our customer, whilst nullifying our competitor’s discriminators.

It is made up of multiple business units from Commercial Airplanes to Integrated Defence, Space and Security systems; Engineering; Operations & Technology; Capital; and the Shared Services Group.

As a confident orator, I developed productive and sustainable working relationships with industry personnel, federal and state government departments and universities to find mutually beneficial projects. 

A key highlight involved constructing the Australian Business Strategy to test Boeing’s entry into the solar energy market. Other outcome achieved in this role included the development and pursuit of market entry strategies for Boeing in areas such as renewable energy, cyber security, and the Square Kilometre Array radio telescope.

Industry and Government Relations

The Advanced Systems team was created to; explore new markets for Boeing Defence Australia, by focusing on leveraging capabilities from within the wider Boeing community, and combining them with Boeing Defence Australia’s current capability to produce new, innovative or different products and services; and aligning research and development with new business growth.

My role involved developing and pursuing viable market entry strategies across a plethora of areas and industries such as renewable energy, cyber security, Square Kilometre Array radio telescope, unmanned aerial vehicle, tactical data links, & security command and control systems.

Here I provided specialist reliability and maintainability engineering advice for key project deliverables across all Boeing performance based contracts in Australia. Key achievements presented included 

•	Regaining and maintaining customer confidence in the Reliability and Maintainability processes on a $400 million program, after the client called for an official review of the processes;

•	Leading the development and implementation of an integrated reliability maintainability and testability program for a $145 million unmanned air vehicle system; and 

•	Identifying and implementing changes to the reliability and maintainability engineering capability, including workforce training, process improvement and organisational change.

In addition to the above, I led the audit and maintenance for Boeing Australia’s ISO 9001, CMMI, RTO, and CAR quality accreditations. Experience gained throughout this tenure provided me with the nous and knack to tailor the right methodology for certain processes to achieve the desired result.

Corvette Queensland are based in Gympie Queensland and import and convert American cars to right hand drive. During my time as Production Engineer for Corvette Queensland I worked closely with production staff to make the steering conversion process both quicker and higher quality, by outsourcing components that could be easier and better manufactured by external companies. I also ensured that converted cars were safe and complied with Australian rules and regulations.

I am a creator, and my joy springs from initial thoughts and theories, through all the different concepts, market testing, to the final design. It doesn’t matter if I’m building process, new products/services, proposals, relationships, strategies, cubby houses, chook houses, fine furniture, or indeed LEGO. 

What makes me different is my customer focus and stakeholder management skills; I work collaboratively with my customers to understand what their needs are, and then I deliver them. I have worked in all levels of an organisation, from gaining a trade certificate in Precision Manufacture on the factory floor, to helping develop business strategies in the boardroom. I have worked closely with both external customers, and internal customers.
