Evan Dunn, VP of Marketing at TitanX, has a 42% CRO booking rate.

Not 10%. Not 15%. 42%.

That's not a better sequence. That's not a better opener. That's a massive ICP shift unlock.

Evan stopped trying to create urgency where it didn't exist. Instead he went looking for teams that were structurally required to care about his product.

His signal? Job descriptions.

Not open roles. The actual JDs for people already in-seat. If someone was hired 9 months ago to build an outbound motion, that priority is baked into the business. It doesn't decay in 48 hours like an intent alert.

He pulled JDs for five title sets across 28,000 accounts. Ran AI agents to scan for three signals. Validated against their CRM.

Companies fitting the criteria were 15X more likely to become customers. The pipeline they were actively working? Only 6.5X.

That 9X gap is where their growth was hiding. They weren't even calling their best accounts.

Targeting the wrong cutomers created a 9X opportunity cost. 

This isn't chasing intent signals that tell you someone did something. Job descriptions tell you how a business is built.

Tuesday I walked into a room where I was clearly the least experienced operator.

Exactly where I needed to be.

I co-moderated a GTM leadership roundtable for Level Equity's portfolio companies alongside two absolute forces: Lacey Larson and Jen Flanagan.

My role? Share real GTM war stories from our 60K+ member community-the messy challenges, the breakthrough moments, and how leaders actually thought through people, process, and tools when everything was on the line.

Listening to Lacey and Jen break down how they've scaled teams and built GTM engines reminded me why I love this work.

The best learning happens when you're slightly uncomfortable.

When you're surrounded by operators who've done what you're trying to do- at bigger scale, with more complexity, under more pressure.

That's the magic of putting community + real operator experience in the same room.

Met with George Vlasyev yesterday at my new 'co-creating' space The Lighthouse.

Been getting so much life from the space and had the opportunity to use one of their podcast studios to be interviewed on a range of AI GTM topics.

The future of search, Audience Engineering, ads in llms (OpenAI 👀), video and so much more.

George is bullish on video in funnels and has mastered it. 

Even more importantly, he's going to be moving to NYC (putting it out there), to double down on his startup and aspirations.

Met with Aidan Gleghorn yesterday. Let me tell you, this dude is smart AF. How he got my attention was incredible.

He pitched me an idea he had to make RevGenius slack even better. A product he wanted to build. I took the call because he brought up an interesting way to look at a connecting our members with one another even better. Like 'Boardy'.

Any community leader has thought through this challenge. We've seen many solutions not meet our needs, but because there were no commercials (yet) I decided to take the call.

The day of the call he shared a LinkedIn post of his showing his content x Clay strategy for getting a job. I realized that this dude was thinking way outside the box, while still in college, thinking of ways to find work following graduation.

Should he build a product, an agency, or get a job as an SDR or junior ops role?

We all have our opinions, but what really sparked my interest in him as a whole as he's literally out here testing all paths. And he's being as creative as anyone I've seen in doing so. At such a young age.

Our call went over 30 mins (to 6pm). I had no meetings after and was piqued by him.

I found out he's also traveling 3 hrs to go to Tech Meetups IRL (from upstate NY) and going to start traveling to the city and other cities (7hrs ish away). That's rare.

Ignore the new facial hair, the mullet I'm testing out, and the two Homies in the call (it's a feature, no a bug I promise!).

Here's a kid, that is hungry and has what I call 'the ability to figure it out'. You can't teach this.

Curiousity, grit, hunger, agency and also is really smart.

If you're looking for an SDR or Jr GTM hire, and are open for somebody that doesn't have prior experience (on the books), this is your bet. 

If you're looking for a conversation with somebody who will be the future of GTM, he's your guy.

The only thing worse for a leader who does something that a 'commoditized signal' triggers is...

to not be that person and receive all the correspondance meant for that person who triggered that signal. I have received no less than 10-20 cold calls a day this week.

Dear data companies everywhere - please please please please remove my phone number from your directories.

I have officially become Isaac's (unpaid) gatekeeper. 

PS from time to time I pick up spam calls to see if there's a real SDR there and if there is, I politely tell them to share with their sales leader or head of ops that their number is coming up as spam and that their connection rate would probably increase if they handled that. 

Yesterday I did this and got hung up on. 

I get cold called (from spam number) and then try to help and get hung up by the rep. 

This whole experience has been BRUTAL!
