Hey! I'm Tom Chain

I always knew I was too free spirited for the corporate world, even though I learned a lot and thrived in investment banking, private equity, and tech startups.

In 2021, I reached a breaking point. I could not keep playing a role I no longer believed in, so I quit my job and started making self-development videos on YouTube, learning everything from editing to scripting. I also dug deeper into philosophy, human psychology, and self-development.

That is when I discovered how much I love writing, reflecting, and using visuals to convey big ideas. My educational content soon led people to ask for coaching, so I added that to my offerings.

Teaching has always felt natural to me. I have an affinity for polymathy, and I believe one of the best ways to learn is by teaching. My passion is helping others improve their own lives, whether it is their skills, performance, lifestyle, or education.

I am still growing and building my dream brick by brick, and I am grateful for your presence and support.

I work on sustainability at the point where strategy, infrastructure risk, and capital allocation intersect.

My role is to support leadership teams in making high-stakes decisions under regulatory, technical, and environmental constraints, before those decisions turn into irreversible assets, stranded investments, or long-term strategic liabilities.

With a PhD in Sustainable Development and experience spanning infrastructure systems, EU policy, innovation funding, and business execution, I approach sustainability not as reporting or compliance, but as a strategic risk and transformation domain that directly shapes long-term value and organizational resilience.

In corporate and advisory settings, I operate closest to strategy, finance, and operations, embedding sustainability into transformation agendas, capital planning, and governance frameworks. My work focuses on translating regulatory pressure and environmental risk into clear strategic choices that are commercially viable and operationally executable.

I have also built and led a sustainable consumer brand operating across 15 international markets, with full responsibility for strategy, execution, and P&L. This experience grounds my work in operational reality and reinforces the discipline required to align sustainability ambition with execution capacity.

I am currently exploring senior sustainability strategy and ESG transformation roles, corporate or advisory, where sustainability is treated as a leadership responsibility shaping investment decisions and long-term direction.
