Operational efficiency through AI. Deployed in weeks | Co-founder @G3NR8

James Cameron wants to make Avatar films faster.

He's 71 and doesn't fancy another eight years on two movies.

So the question we’re interested in is…


"Will you use generative AI?"

His answer is interesting.

Yes, potentially. But with hard boundaries.

Never replace the actors.
Never replace the artists.
Never replace the director or writers.

But, the tools don't actually exist yet.

Currently generative AI is built for copywriting, reducing lawyer fees with contracts that are probably OK and self diagnosing medical issues etc.

However it’s not integrated into the professional tools for entertainment.

Cameron's team would have to build them from scratch. Integrate them into VFX workflows that took decades to develop.

Probably not a weekend project.

But it will be solved, and probably sooner than you think.

And then it will open up a whole new world of film making to both the likes of James Cameron and the next up and coming directors who will use it in completely innovative ways.

It’s going to be really interesting to see what gets created and how it’s blended with the current approach.

Most important to me is thinking differently and creatively. Being curious about the world and not being afraid to try to change it. I am an Entrepreneur who founded and exited Tigerspike, founded Mangosteen Venture Studio, a fund that works with underrepresented founders to set up and grow purpose-driven companies; and through that co-founded / created: Bambu (wealth tech), Lucy (digital bank for underbanked women), Betacarbon (climate tech), and Minikai (AI agents for carers).I spend my time between Bali, Singapore, Sydney, UK and Portugal with my wife (@lydiajanssenart) and 3 children. In my spare time I dive (PADI advanced), fly planes (CAA PPL), Skydive (USPA-B), Freedive (SSI-1), Sail (Sydney-Hobart 2004), Ski, and rock climb. When I was young (school) I came 4th in a national waterski competition and represented HK playing Rugby while making some nice cheddar cheese selling t shirts and our band's CD. Who cares about all this stuff? I believe good things come from trying to become good at many things.At my core I am a musician. I play piano, guitar, sing, write and record songs (4m streams is my best effort!) and whistle (International Grand Champion 2009)... that's right. I'm the best whistler on the planet!
