» Maintain accuracy for the recording of all transactions in the general, revenue, and expenditure ledgers of over six funds. 
» Perform monthly bank reconciliations for assets worth over $6 million. Research and resolve discrepancies. Conduct internal audits.
» Prepare budget for upcoming fiscal year. Review and analyze current year actual, in addition to prior years’ budgets, to corroborate with each department for proper allocations.
» Process A/P transactions and ensure vendor invoices are paid accurately. Cut checks to vendors.
» Prepare and reconcile monthly statement of accounts showing status of appropriations, expenditures, and remaining balances. 
» Assist in preparation of year-end closing, compile supporting financial reports, and backup paperwork as requested by contracted auditors.
» Ensure all municipal financial transactions conform to GAAP, the Uniform Municipal Accounting System, state, and federal laws.
 
PAYROLL/HUMAN RESOURCES
» Collect and summarize timesheets, obtaining Supervisor approval of overtime and/or discrepancies.
» Calculate and process direct deposit payments, payroll taxes, and employee benefits, such as retirement and HSA funds.
» Maintain payroll and benefits registers, along with payroll general ledger updates.
» Maintain employee personnel files.
» Collaborate with insurance carriers and staff to update/change medical, dental, and vision benefits.
» Maintain incident reports. File worker's compensation claims when needed. Adhere to ADA and FMLA laws, while also accommodating/helping employees return to work.

» Supervise, train/direct performance of Non-Gaming auditors and review daily audits of all non-gaming outlets, to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.
» Responsible for completing daily Non-Gaming Flash Report to be sent to CFO and Corporate office.
» Hotel and Spa audits – Settle Credit Card transactions. Enter Daily Deposit Activity, General Ledger and City Ledger Trial Balances, Cash Ledgers and actual Cash Deposits by cashiers.
» Food & Beverage audits – Responsible for daily F&B and Retail audits. Research outlet variances and/or discrepancies with closing reports.
» Prepare, enter and upload Month-End Journal Entries to Oracle.
