I established the Engineering department at the start-up of this new STEM high school teaching an underserved community. 

✓I was a “Project Lead The Way*” certified teacher. 
✓ I taught “Introduction to Engineering” to a class of 300 first-year students.
✓ I founded and led the robotics after-school club.
✓ While at my previous teaching job at Henry Ford Academy, I secured the $35,000 grant that helped implement “Project Lead The Way*” at this school.

*Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is an innovative project-based learning program that incorporates science, technology, engineering, and math. PLTW empowers students to develop and apply in-demand, transferable skills by exploring real-world challenges in an exciting and engaging way.

I taught 11th-grade math and helped prepare students for the ACT standardized test in an underserved community. 

✓ I developed the curriculum for and implemented a Saturday ACT preparation program.
✓Helped students increase their ACT scores by an average of 4 points and up to 8 points (max ACT score is 36.) 
✓ I brought “Project Lead the Way” to a new STEM school, The David Speer Academy. 
✓I secured a $35,000 grant to implement the “Project Lead the Way” program.

While working there, Motorola was the premier cellular company in the world, with 32% of the cellular devices market.

I worked in Supply Chain for Motorola's cellular division, which focused on getting phones into customers' hands. From an operational perspective, I focused on communications and tracking effectiveness and efficiency measures. I also led efforts around employee engagement and building a culture that reflected Motorola's company values.  

✓ Promoted into the role. Consistently recognized for good judgment, positive stakeholder management, and getting things done quickly and to a high standard.
✓ Handled mass communications from a Sr. Vice President to 50,000+ worldwide employees in the Supply Chain Department. 
✓ Created and managed a website for Supply Chain communications.
✓ Managed software to track global continuous improvement efforts for the Motorola Cellular Division Supply Chain.
✓ I ran weekly staff meetings for the Global Supply Chain Senior Management team, leading engagement, efficiency, and effectiveness.
✓ Planned and executed an Employee Recognition 3-day event for 250 Supply Chain top-performers with a budget of $60,000.

Business Operations Manager, Personal Communications 

In this position, I worked with employees from all levels of the organization to optimize how the warehouse ran and how space was utilized.  

✓ Transitioned warehouse tagging system from a manual process (requiring printing and picking up) to an RF-based (radio frequency) handheld system that increased speed, efficiencies, and decreased errors. 
✓ Created and implemented a method to collect the cubic volume of each new part as it entered the distribution center, improving processes and creating cost savings.
✓ Optimized replenishments to the automation picking center by utilizing cubic volume data, which resulted in a 200% reduction in warehouse picks, saving time and money by increasing efficiencies.

Industrial Engineer

In this role, I coordinated numerous part prototype builds between production, development, and engineering for multiple secret products.

✓ I troubleshot machine and model assembly issues for four different cellular products, reducing manufacturing downtime. 
✓ Interfaced with equipment vendors regarding manufacturing equipment issues.
✓ Programmed, troubleshot, and trained Operators on precision depanelizing equipment.
✓ Collaborate with Development Engineers to implement design changes to improve manufacturability for three cellular products.

I meet with homeowners in our showroom to help with the design and selection, measuring, drawing, and pricing of all cabinet orders. I also oversee all web sales for the company. I have prospected for and signed new builder contracts providing repeat business for the company.

My demonstrated expertise in kitchen design and sales has led me to exceed yearly sales goals, achieving annual sales of over $1 million from 2013 through 2023. Taking on the sales manager role for a Kitchen Design company was a great step in my professional career. My responsibilities included overseeing and managing the sales force of 15 people. 

Large project pricing and bidding and new account prospecting fell into my role. This opportunity allowed me to improve my management, supervisory, marketing, and sales skills.

My success at Montgomery Ward started as part-time Christmas help at 16 years old during high school. As I continued working for the company, my ability to sell and relate to customers became recognized by management.

With no preconceived notions of sales, I entered commission sales in this major store's Lawn and Garden department. Proving my ability to create relationships with customers and guide their decision-making, I was moved to major appliance commission sales. 

My success continued throughout my career at Montgomery Ward, and in 1989 I received the Senior Customer Service Recognition award.

Learning how to build relationships with individuals has been the foundation of my success in my entire career.

Over 16 years ago, my wife Tina created a tutoring program unlike any other. As an engineer, she deconstructed the testing process and uncovered strategies that make a difference with challenging standardized testing. 99.99% of her students were able to improve their test scores.

And over the years, I have watched how her groundbreaking proprietary framework provides a comprehensive solution that targets anxiety and stress and successfully transforms lives and institutions.

Recently a post-secondary school came to My2tor when they were in jeopardy of losing their accreditation. Our current test-taking strategies were proven to benefit the educational institution. Their passing rates improved from 8% to a remarkable 79% in one year. 

Proving the framework developed to help students taking the SATs worked for institutions opens the doors to exciting developments for school districts, post-secondary schools, vocational schools, and certification programs.

I am pleased to join my wife in bringing awareness to the availability of this unique approach to education.  Because I believe in Tina’s mission and family is so important to me, I naturally joined her as Director of Sales at My2tor, utilizing over 40 years of extensive sales and customer service experience.
