As Sales Engineering Manager, I was responsible for the Pre-Sales Engineers supporting the Direct and Indirect Sales Teams in the Northwest Region, including: San Francisco, Sacramento, Denver, Portland, Salt Lake City, Seattle and Spokane. Recruiting, developing, coaching and assisting Sales Engineers to deliver best in class solutions for highly complex WAN/LAN environments. Involved in the sales cycle from beginning to end, delivering presentations to audiences including C-Level decision makers, discussing customer challenges and developing business solutions to enhance capabilities of client networks and communications. I use performance based goals to coach and develop the team, while providing ongoing education on complex technologies and products.

Sales Engineering Senior Manager

Pre-sales engineer for National and Strategic accounts responsible for the design of complex WAN and voice solutions, including converged services such as MPLS, VPLS. Enterprise SIP, and traditional private line, SONET and wavelength services.. I also leverage managed services utilizing the broad list of IP based products, such as Hosted Security, Hosted PBX and Content Delivery, to form solutions for the customer's voice and data needs. I am involved from pre-sales through implementation, responsible for ensuring the design meets the customer's expectations. I use a consultative sales approach, and continue working with customers to leverage technology to enhance their business flows and drive down expenses.

I have served on the VoIP Subject Matter Expert team since 2009 to assist engineers across the country with complex VoIP solutions, especially Enterprise class SIP trunking.

Responsible for running the Service Department for the company, including technical support staff, project managers, network engineers and administrative personnel. Also, I handled all aspects of IT for the organization, maintaining multi-location network and handling technical support group within the organization. Developed and managed Network Services department for company focusing on Wide Area Networks for voice and data applications.

An Independent Woman

🚺An independent Indian woman is celebrated in media, ads and our daily life.
▫️She is portrayed as one who has it all and manages it all. 
▫️Independence appears effortless and admirable.

🚺A recent Times of India article on independent India women stayed with me.
▫️Not because it glorified independence but it unpeeled the reality.
▫️Independence hides an unacknowledged burden that women carry in their lives

🚺Independence begins as an aspiration.The exhilaration of  first salary, first solo trip, first taste of freedom of movement, unescorted and unquestioned.
🚺For many youngsters independence is a choice made out of fear lest they get trapped like their mothers.
🚺Yes independence brings financial, physically and emotional freedom.
🚺But beyond personal fulfilment over time, it transforms into a game of endurance and holding it all together.
🚺The simultaneous responsibility of family is often urgent and relentless, that has to visible and even exemplary.
 
🚺Being a strong independent woman is then not all about bravado.
▫️It about awareness, courage to win and show up consistently regardless of the challenges faced.
▫️It is indeed transformative. But the trajectory varies as no 2 women follow the same path.

🚺Independence is the. a choice that start with ambition but becomes a way of life. 
▫️Independence is certainly not about sounding the victory bugle.
 ▫️As it also invites backlash, scrutiny,harsh criticism and even scepticism.

🚺There is guilt when women step away from homes to work.
▫️Leaving the role behind has an emotional cost.
▫️After all indispensability  is tied to self worth.

🚺Independence when expressed explicitly as non negotiable is clearly threatening to society. 
▫️It then invites unkind labels and gossip. 
▫️Too ambitious, too self centred are often heard. 

🚺Comedian Sharon Verma states this truth humorously in her introduction on stage as a weak independent woman. 
▫️Yes, the emotional and physical exhaustion are rarely discussed.
▫️ Days intensify exhaustion and work day rarely ends with work.
▫️The double shift is normalised and burnout is personal failure rather than systemic neglect. 

🚺The responsibilities, that women carry then has its aftermath:
▫️Pride entwined with guilt
▫️Strength with minimal support and even resentment. 
▫️Bias subtle or explicit breaks morale. 
▫️Burning candles at both sides, ends with exhaustion. 

🚺Quitting is also not simple.
▫️Financial freedom becomes a  necessary way of life and a purpose becomes a lifeline. 

🚺Regardless of the challenges today independent woman are increasingly refusing to shrink.

🚺Independence today is 
▫️A mindset and not a trade off.
▫️It requires boundaries and mutual respect.
▫️It is not a milestone to be crossed but a continuous game of balance,persistence and 
recalibration.

🚺And yes, independence is also to acknowledge the invisible weight it carries.

Friday Reminder #tigf

🔲Some lessons don’t arrive in classrooms.
▫️They are learnt quietly with experience and  time.

🔲As years pass by, it dawns upon you that  your parents won’t always be there. 
▫️You start spending time with them, listening more, arguing less.

🔲Friends drift away and we loose touch.
▫️Not out of indifference or anger, 
▫️But compulsions and priorities of life pulls people in different directions.

🔲You learn that love can cause pain,can hurt
▫️Not because it’s wrong, but because it’s real.

🔲Failures and setbacks are not the end,
▫️They’re not interruptions  or disruptions.
▫️But part of the curriculum of the lessons we learn.

🔲No one applauds excuses or blame game 
▫️Results speak loud and clear for themselves. 

🔲Success asks for hard work and sacrifices .
▫️Often comfort, sometimes sleep and  always ego to let go.

🔲And after all the running and chasing,
▫️Home still feels like the safest place to land.

🔲Life doesn’t get easier with passage of time.
▫️You just become stronger, calmer, wiser to face the storms.

🔲Perhaps the hardest lesson of all:
▫️Nothing is owed to us in this game of life 
▫️Nothing comes to us easy
▫️Everything is earned with labour of our toils.

🔲Growing up isn’t about becoming tougher.
▫️It’s about becoming truer ourselves and our life.

🔲As the weekend once again arrives 
▫️Rest reflect and return back recharged to what truly matters.

The Most Precious Jewels #tgim

🔲Once a merchant visited a bustling market in the heart of the desert . 
▫️He bought a beautiful camel after protracted bargaining.
▫️While riding on the camel on his journey back home, he felt uncomfortable on the saddle. 
▫️To his surprise he discovered 
a pouch filled with precious jewels, beneath the saddle. 
▫️Even while his servant urged him to keep them, the merchant turned back to return the jewels to the camel owner.
▫️The owner was grateful and offered him one jewel as a reward.The merchant smiled and said he had already kept two.
▫️The camel owner was taken aback. He checked the pouch but found none of the pieces were missing.
▫️The merchant then said he had kept the most precious jewels his self respect and integrity.

🔲Integrity and self-respect are invisible assets yet they shape our character and reveal themselves in quiet moments :
✔️When doing the right thing is is uncomfortable, and no one is watching.
✔️When shortcuts are tempting and easy, but we choose to avoid them.
✔️When there is much to gain but at the cost of our values.
✔️When compromise seems convenient but choosing the right path the only way. 
✔️When silence is comfortable but standing up for right the only way. 

▫️Money can be lost.
▫️Fame can fade . 
✔️But integrity and self respect stay with us for life. 

🔲We may not always gain immediately by choosing integrity and self respect. 
But we never lose ourselves.
