After years in tech sales chasing success — President’s Club, titles, stock options, commission checks — I burnt out.

And in 2020, everything collapsed.

For four years, I wrestled with depression, anxiety, constant stress, and a growing sense of disconnection from myself. Then I was fired for performance.

On paper I had “made it.”
But my inner world had been unraveling.

I hit a point where something had to change.
So I decided to rebuild my life from the inside out by doing the inner work I’d avoided for years.

Then I started writing about mental health online.  
I grew an audience of 40,000+ men. 
I built a 6-figure coaching business. 
Life was moving again.

But in 2024, things got the darkest they've ever been.

I slipped into the deepest depression of my life and faced thoughts of ending my life. As painful as that was, it pushed me to seek a deeper truth.

In 2025, I walked 3,007 miles across America for men’s mental health, raising $70k+ along the way. I chose to walk without music or distractions, just me and everything I had been running from.

That walk totally reshaped me.
It gave me a level of clarity, presence, and internal strength I hadn’t tapped into.

Now this is my work.
I help men who feel stuck, numb, or disconnected feel like themselves again.

Men who look fine on the outside but are overwhelmed inside. Men who want clarity, direction, and emotional stability… not more performance.

Through our program, The Integrated Man, and the inner mastery practices we teach, we help men reconnect to themselves so they can live with presence, strength, and truth.

stranger: everyone is a little ADHD.
me: oh for sure, everyone meets full criteria for a neurological/ clinical disorder that keeps them from maintaining their job, keeping friends, attending doctor visits, going to college, completing all tasks they start, and not maintain a healthy perception of themselves and perceive rejection from others all day everyday from every social interaction they’ve ever encountered.

For sure, everyone is totally experiencing that.

they ask: so it’s like no attention right?
me: I wish. It’s actually like having all the attention in the world packed into a single moment where you don’t see one thing, you see all things . Because of this, your mind drifts in many directions, you’re confused, forgetful, distracted, and eventually you burnout. And most people think I’m either lazy or don’t have attention. Well, surprise surprise.

stranger: do you ever rest?
my adhd: of course I rest, I mean I don't get a lot of sleep but I'm up at night resting while working on projects, I'm really a night owl anyway because most of the day I'm thinking about something that really motivates me but it is hard to move at the same time, so basically I'm in a resting state, and lately I've been looking up ways to rest even better so I can prepare a bit more for when I do need rest you know?

I’ve got to be kinder to myself today. 

Why?

Well. When you balance working full-time, a doctorate program, hobbies, challenges, oscillations with ADHD, and the law of entropy, sometimes you feel burnt out, stuck, or negative feelings. And then those negative feelings can skew my meaning making lens.

On one hand, I could spend more time in this negative space, which will likely give me a much heavier day to deal with. Or, I could acknowledge this moment and consider the option of noticing what is going well too:

- I get to work my dream job as a therapist
- I’m a doctoral candidate (wow)
- I get better sleep these days
- I’m comfortable sharing

And I think it’s that last one that helps, especially for LinkedIn and building community. I’ve got many hard days but also many moments of gratitude.

After long, demanding (hyperfocus) days, ADHD motivation often vanishes. And your nervous system has spent its regulation budget maintaining performance.

When your resources drop, reward processing drops too (you’re exhausted). Rest and regulation aren’t avoidance (or lazy), they’re preparation for future motivation.
