The exact moment I knew my "safe" career was killing me.

I sat in a hospital gown waiting for results.

The doctor walked in. His face told me everything before he spoke.

They found 2 tumors inside my guts. The kind that usually become cancerous. The surgeon removed them right away.

I was working in banking at the time. The "safe" career. The one my parents celebrated. The one society told me would give me security.

And there I was, sitting in a hospital bed, realizing my body was breaking down while I chased someone else's definition of success.

The stress. The long hours. The constant pressure. The feeling that no matter how hard I worked, I was building someone else's dream.

A founder making ₹40 lakh a year told me he writes his own LinkedIn posts.

And he spends 4 hours a week on it.

I didn't say a word, but just opened my calculator in front of him.

₹40 lakh a year = ₹3,333 per hour.
4 hours a week = ₹13,332 of his time.

And these are posts that he's not really trained to write.

"Why should I worry about LinkedIn?" This investor had 17+ companies, 3 exits, and millions in bank.

I was on a call with him last week.
(and I know how long it took to just make that call happen 😪)

Just 5 minutes in the call, and he asked me this:

"Why should I worry about building a brand on LinkedIn when I have nothing to sell or want any money?"

He has a point, right?

It's true that you don't need money
You don't need to make new sales

But when you show up on LinkedIn, you're actually becoming a guide.

It was this simple CTA that was leading to a landing page.

We started collecting emails.

Stop treating your LinkedIn and email like a bad blind date.

No chemistry. Awkward pauses.

If you want to make $3-5k services a no-brainer, then you gotta fix this ASAP.

Here’s the fix:

Think of LinkedIn as your stage 
And email as your backstage pass.

↳ On LinkedIn, you’re sparking curiosity and drawing the crowd in
↳ In email, you’re building deeper relationships and closing deals

But if these two aren’t speaking the same language? 
Your audience gets confused, and they bounce.

Here’s an example of how to make them dance together:

→ You write a LinkedIn post:
“Why most email funnels fail before they even start (and how to fix yours).”

→ At the end of the post:
“Want the exact 5-step email strategy I use? DM me for access to my blueprint!”

→ In your email:
You expand on the post: “Here’s what I couldn’t fit into my LinkedIn post…”
You give them extra value and then softly pitch your service.

The magic here?

→ Your LinkedIn content fuels your email list growth
→ Your emails continue the conversation and drive conversions

Start treating them like a power couple, not separate players. 
The results will speak for themselves.

They said carousels are DEAD in 2023.
Then they said it again in 2025.
Now it's again in 2026.

Actually, they're dominating harder than ever. And 2026 data backs it up for real.

Carousels achieve a 6.60% engagement rate, which is 278% higher than video, 303% higher than images, and 596% higher than text-only posts. 

I'm not saying that I want a wave of carousels, just like we saw in 2024.

And it definitely doesn't mean that I'm not going to do more text-only posts.

I'm still bullish on text-posts (just like my pal, Ryan Musselman, high-five!!!)

But this data clearly shows that carousels are important as well.

They're increasing the dwell time.

And that 2-3 minutes a reader spends on your post is boosting it like crazy.

The LinkedIn algorithm in 2026 rewards substance over frequency, depth over virality, and expertise over engagement hacking. 

So are you still going to sit on the fence?

I spent 18 hours studying the magnetic founder brands of Ali Abdaal, Sam Altman & Naval Ravikant (breakdown included).

6.1M YouTube subscribers.

All three followed different playbooks.

But they all got crazy results, and we know it.

People trust faces more than logos. Your quirks are your moat.

LinkedIn changed a lot in 2025.

But the people who placed their bets on email lists are selling like crazy.

Well, I know it, because I helped them build that email list.

This is why my biggest advice to founders is to STOP trying to be everywhere.

They need to know where they can reap the most benefits. The rest is just noise.

Money flows where attention goes. That's the reality for B2B businesses (which they are missing out on)

I have a habit of listening to a podcast while hitting the gym.

And I swear that I love this way of consumption.
Easy 3-4 podcasts consumed every week with audio notes lying in my Keep app.

Last week, I was listening to an interesting marketing podcast between Rajiv Talreja and Raj Shamani.

Rajiv talked about content marketing.

And B2B is missing out on this for real.

I'll say this once (okay, I might say it again tomorrow, lol!!!)

Decision-makers don't buy from you because your product is better. They buy because they've been reading you for 3 months.

There's a simple thing happening behind this.

Your best clients refer you to their peers.
That peer Googles your name.
Finds nothing.
Then Googles the problem.
Finds your competitor's content everywhere.

Now you can take a guess who they're going to call.

Word-of-mouth used to build businesses.

Now it just opens the door.

But when that door opens, the buyer doesn't call you first.

They research.

And if your content isn't part of that research, you've already lost.

Money flows where attention goes.

This is true for every industry and every freaking business.

But I see this being true a lot more for B2B businesses with long sales cycles.

They aren't making impulse buying decisions.

They are reading your posts, articles, newsletters, press releases, and everything that your ambassadors are talking about.

And they make that decision in the 29 pieces of content they consumed before they ever contacted anyone.

Content creation isn't marketing anymore.

It's distribution.

If buyers can't find your perspective when they're researching, you don't get considered.

You just get outcompeted by someone who showed up in their feed.

Whose content is your next client reading right now?

The prospect was on the verge of crying on the Zoom call.

This was just from 2 days ago.

And it was once again because of a lie that a digital marketing agency told him.

I'm not gonna defame them.

But they just sold unrealistic dreams to this coach.

We'll post content.
People will start engaging.
And you'll start getting clients like crazy.

Most coaches & founders think the hard part is getting engagement (likes, comments, DMs)

But the real challenge?
→ Turning that engagement into paying clients.

95% of coaches & consultants never ask:

"What happens after someone engages with my content?"

Get this through your head:

→ Engagement ≠ Trust
→ Trust ≠ Purchase
→ And content alone ≠ Conversion

These 3 biggest leaks in your funnel are stealing your leads:

3/ The "Now What?" gap

You see them engaging with your content.
But you're not guiding them to the next step.

👉🏻 Use soft CTAs in posts:
"DM 'System' if you're tired of posting on LinkedIn with no leads."

👉🏻 Automate your follow-ups:
"Loved your comment! Here's a free guide on [their pain point] -> [Link]"

2/ The "Trust Desert"

They visited your profile. 
But they see NO proof that you can help them.

👉🏻 Turn your LinkedIn into a Landing Page:
"I help [ICP] get [result] without [pain point]. Grab my free [lead magnet] -> [Link]"

👉🏻 Pin a case study post:
"How I helped a [Client] get $15k worth of sales in 7 days."

1/ The "Nurture Black Hole"

They signed up for your lead magnet.
But your radio silence isn't going to nurture or convert.

👉🏻 Send a 5-day email sequence that:

• Solve a micro-problem (Day 1)
• Challenge their belief (Day 2)
• Point out their mistakes (Day 3)
• Share a relevant case study (Day 4)
• Present your offer (Day 5)

NOTE: Obviously, this is way more structured for my clients because we do it around ONE point 😂

Leads leak when you assume interest = intent.

But intent only builds when you have a system behind your content that captures → nurtures → converts.

The more I build these for my clients, the more I learn as well.

If your funnel feels like a sieve:

1. Audit where leads drop off (comments? DMs? emails?)
2. Plug the gaps with clear next steps

If you're a founder or CEO, stop treating LinkedIn like a slot machine.

Post. Pull the lever. Hope something lands.

And then they keep blaming the algorithm.

But it's actually a Content-Audience Fit problem.

I know you'd have heard mostly about product-market fit. But content-audience fit is a real thing.

Content-Audience Fit = saying something your audience needs to hear right now.

And you're measuring this fit with the wrong signals.

Impressions = your content appeared on a screen.
Likes = someone spent 0.3 seconds on it.

Neither tells you if it landed.

The real signals:
→ A DM that starts with "I felt seen"
→ A comment that's 3 sentences long and ends with a personal confession
→ A save with no comment (means: I need to come back to this)

And Content-Audience Fit comes down to 3 layers (but most people only think about one)

Layer 1 - Topic Fit

Are you writing about what your audience is obsessing over right now?

Not what you want to teach, but their current frustration.

Go read the last 10 comments your ideal client left on other people's posts. That's your content calendar.

Layer 2 - Stage Fit

This is where most people break down.

Your audience is somewhere in this awareness chain:

Unaware → Problem Aware → Solution Aware → Ready to Buy

But most LinkedIn content lives at "Solution Aware." And the goldmine nobody touches is the "Problem Aware" content.

That's when someone comments: "Wait. This is exactly what I've been feeling."

Layer 3 - Voice Fit

Cover your name on your post. Would your audience still know it was you?

If not, then you don't have Voice Fit yet.

Run this analysis on your last 10 posts:

High impressions, low DMs → Right distribution, wrong stage. You're writing at the wrong level of awareness.

Low impressions, high DMs → Right message, weak hook. The content works, but the entry point doesn't.

High impressions, high DMs → You have fit. Reverse-engineer it immediately.

Low impressions, low DMs → Wrong topic entirely. Move on.

You aren't stuck because of a content problem.
You just don't have audience clarity.

Content-Audience Fit is going to be your diagnosis.

When your content makes someone feel seen — that's fit.
When it makes someone feel understood — that's trust.
When it makes someone DM you — that's a lead.

I always believe that the right 800 people will always outperform the wrong 80,000.

So, which of the 3 layers is your biggest gap — Topic, Stage, or Voice?
